Transliteration
Transliteration uses a phonetic spelling which is not unique. In other words, there may be different phonetic spellings in another book, but they are consistent in a single book. The advantage is twofold: it allows pronouncing the Arabic words and it allows a Word document to be searched for any word using the English alphabet.
In English a word (e.g. 'belief') can give rise to many variations (e.g. believe, beliefs, believers, unbeliever, unbelief, disbelieve, disbelievers...)
Likewise with Arabic. The search included 18 variations of the root KFR (the root of the word 'Kafir').
Summary
There are 395 verses in the Koran that use the word 'Kafir' (or a variant of it). 345 verses use it to mean 'unbeliever', 39 to mean 'ingratitude' and 11 are neutral.

21 | 36 | And when those who disbelieve behold thee, they but choose thee out for mockery, (saying): Is this he who maketh mention of your gods? 25 | 26 | The Sovereignty on that day will be the True (Sovereignty) belonging to the Beneficent Qne, and it will be a hard day for disbelievers. | ’Al-mulku Yawma-’izi-nil- haqqu lir-Rahmaan: wa kaa-na Yawman ‘alal-kaafiriina ‘asiiraa. | |
25 | 52 | So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them herewith with a great endeavour | Falaa tuti-‘il-kaafiriina wa jaahidhum-bihii jihaadan-ka- biiraa | |

28 | 48 | Butwhentherecameuntothem the Truth from Ourpresence, they said: Why is he not given the like of what was given unto Moses? Did they not disbelieve in that which was given unto Moses of old? They say: Two magics that support each other; and they say: Lo ! in both we are disbelievers | Falammaa jaaa-’ahumul- Haqqu min ‘indinaa qaaluu law laaa ’uutiya misla maaa 'uutiya Muusaa? ’Awalam yakfuruu bimaaa ’uutiya Muusaa min- qabl? 29 | 82 | And morning found those who had coveted his place but yesterday crying: Ah, welladay! Allah enlargeth the provision for whom He will of His slaves and straiteneth it (for whom He will). If Allah had not been gracious unto us He would have caused it to swallow us (also). Ah, well-aday! the disbelievers never prosper | Wa ’asbahallaziina taman- naw makaanahuu bil-’amsi yaq- uuluuna wayka-’annallaaha yab- sutur-rizqa limariy-ya-shaaa-’u min ‘ibaadihii wa yaqdir ! 29 | 47 | In like manner We have revealed unto thee the Scripture, and those unto whom We gave the Scripture aforetime will believe therein; and of these (also) there are some who believe therein. 29 | 68 | Who doth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah, or denieth the truth when it cometh unto him? 30 | 8 | they not pondered upon themselves? Allah created not the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, save with truth and for a destined end. 30 | 13 | There will be none to intercede for them of those whom they made equal with Allah. And they will reject their partners (whom they ascribed unto Him). | Wa lam yakul-lahum-min Shurakaaa-’ihim shufa-‘aaa-’u wa kaanuu bi-Shurakaaa-’ihim kaafiriin | |

33 | 8 | That He may ask the loyal of their loyalty. And He hath prepared a painful doom for the unfaithful. | Liyas-’alas-Saadiqiina ‘an Sidqihim: wa ’a-‘adda lil- kaafiriina 'Azaaban 'aliimaa. | |
33 | 48 | And incline not to the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Disregard their noxious talk, and put thy trust in Allah. Allah is sufficient as Trustee | Walaatuti-‘il-kaafiriinawal- Munaafiqiina wa da‘-’azaahum wa tawakkal ‘alallaah. Wa kafaa billaahi Wakiilaa. | |

35 | 39 | He it is Who hath made you gents in the earth; so he who his disbelief be on his own head. Their disbelief increa- seth for the disbelievers, in their Lord’s sight, naught save abhorrence. 39 | 59 | (But now the answer will be): Nay, for My revelations came unto thee, but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers | Balaa qad jaaa -’atka 'Aayaatii fakazzabta bihaa wastakbarta wa kunta minal- kaafiriin | |
39 | 71 | And those who disbelieve are driven unto hell in troops till, when they reach it and the gates thereof are opened, and the warders thereof say unto them: Came there not unto you messengers of your own, reciting unto you the revelations of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this your Day? They say: Yea, verily. But the word of doom for disbelievers is fulfilled. | Wa siiqallaziina kafaruuu ’ilaa Jahannama zumaraa: Hattaaa’izaa jaaa-’uuhaafutihat 'abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaaa ’alam ya’-ti-kum rusulum-mihkum yatluuna ‘alaykum ’Aayaati Rabbikum wa yunziruunakum Liqaaa-’a Yawmikum haazaa? Qaaluu balaa wa laakin haqqat Kalimatul-'Azaabi'alal-kaafiriin! | |
40 | 14 | Therefore (O believers) pray unto Allah, making religion pure for Him (only), however much the disbelievers be averse | Fad-‘ullaaha mukhlisiina lahud-diina wa law karihal- kaafiruun | |
40 | 25 | And when he brought them the T ruth from Our presence, they said: Slay the sons of those who believe with him, and spare their women. But the plot of disbelievers is in naught but error | Falammaajaaa-’ahum-bil- Haqqi min ‘iridinaa qaaluq-tuluuu 'abnaaa-’allaziina’aamanuu ma- ‘ahuu wastahyuu nisaaa-’ahum. Wa maa kaydul-kaafiriina ’illaa fii zalaal !... | |
40 | 50 | They say: Came not your messengers unto you with clear proofs? They say: Yea verily. 40 | 74 | Beside Allah? They say: They have failed us; but we used not to pray to anything before. Thus doth Allah send astray the disbelievers (in His guidance). | Min duunillaah? Qaaluu zalluu ‘annaa bal-lam nakun- nad-‘uu mih-qablu shay-’aa. Kazaalika yuzillul-laahul- kaafiriin | |
41 | 7 | Who give not the poordue, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter | ’Allaziina laa yu’-tuunaz- Zakaata wa hum-bil-’Aakhirati hum kaafiruun | |
41 | 14 | When their messengers came unto them from before them and behind them, saying: Worship none but Allah, they said: If our Lord had willed, He surely would have sent down angels (unto us), so lo! we are disbelievers in that wherewith ye have been sent | ’Iz jaaa-‘at-humur-rusulu mimbayni ’aydiihim wa min khalfihim ’allaa ta‘-buduuu ’illal- laah. 43 | 24 | And the warner) said: What! Even though I bring you better guidance than that ye found your fathers following? 47 | 10 | Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? Allah wiped them out. 58 | 5 | ose who oppose Allah and His messenger will be abased even as those before them were abased; and We have sent down clear tokens and for disbelievers is a shameful doom | ’Innalla?iinayubaaad-duu- nallaaha wa Rasuulahuu kubituu kamaa kubitalla?iina min qablihim wa qad ‘anzalnaaa ’Aayaatim-Bayyinaat. Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. Kazaalika yugill’ull- aahu many-yashaaa-’u wa yahdii many-yashaaa’. Wa maa ya‘-lamu junuuda Rabbika ’illaa Huu. Wa maa hiya 'illaa zikraa lil-bashar | |
76 | 4 | Lo! We have prepared for isbelievers manacles and and a raging fire | 'Innaaa ’a‘-tadnaa lil- kaafiriina salaasila wa carcans 'aglaalanw-wa Sa-‘iiraa. | |

No laden soul will bear another’s load. Then unto your Lord is your return, and He will tell you what ye used to do. Lo! Kafara | 2 | 102 | And they follow that which the devils falsely related against the kingdom of Solomon. Solomon disbelieved not; but the devils disbelieved, teaching mankind magic and that which was revealed to the two angels in Babel, Harut and Marut. Nor did they (the two angels) teach it to anyone till they had said: We are only a temptation, therefore disbelieve not (in the guidance of Allah). And from these two (angels) people learn that by which they cause division between man and wife; but they injure thereby no-one save by Allah’s leave. And they learn that which harmeth them and profiteth them not. And surely they do know that he who trafficketh therein will have no (happy) portion in the Hereafter; and surely evil is the price for which they sell their souls, if they but knew. | Wattaba-’uu maa tatlushshayaa-tiinu ‘alaa mulki- Sulaymaan. Wa maa kafara Sulaymaanu wa laakinnash- shayaa-tiina kafaruu yu- ‘allimuunan-naa-sas-sihr, wa maaa ’unzila ’alal- malakayni bi-Baabila Haaruuta wa Maaruut. Wa maa yu- ‘allimaani min ’ahadin hattaa ya- quulaaa ’innamaa nahnu fitna tun-falaa takfur. Fayata-’alla- muuna minhumaa maa yufar- riquuna bihii baynal-mar-’i wa zawjih. Wa maa hum-bi-zaaar- riina bihii min 'ahadin ’illaa bi- ’iznil-laah. Wa yata-’allamuuna maa yazurruhum wa laa yanfa- ‘uhum. Wa laqad ‘alimuu lama- nishtaraahu maa lahuu fil- ’Aakhirati min khalaaq. Wa labi’- sa-maa sharaw bihiii ’anfusa- hum, law kaanuu ya‘-lamuun. |
2 | 126 | And when Abraham prayed: My Lord! Make this a region of security and bestow upon itspeople fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day, He answered: As for him who disbelieveth, I shall leave him in contentment for a while, then I shall compel him to the doom of Fire—a hapless journey’s end | Wa ’iz qaala "Ibraahiimu Rabbij - ‘al haazaa Baladan ’Aaminanw-warzuq 'ahlahuu mina§-§amaraati man 'aamana minhum-billaahi wal-Yawmil- ’Aakhir. 3 | 97 | Wherein are plain memorials (of Allah’s guidance); the place where Abraham stood up to pray; and whosoever entereth it is safe. And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind, for him who can find a way thither. As for him who disbelieveth, (let him know that) lo! 5 | 12 | Allah made a covenant of old with the Children of Israel and We raised among them twelve chieftains, and Allah said: Lo ! I am with you. If ye establish worship and pay the poor-due, and believe in My messengers and support them, and lend unto Allah a kindly loan, surely I shall remit your sins, and surely I shall bring you into gardens underneath which rivers flow. Whoso among you disbelieveth after this will go astray from a plain road. | Wa laqad ’akha-zal-laahu Miisaaqa Baniii-’lsraaa-'iila wa ba-‘asnaa min-humu§-nay- ‘ashara Naqiibaa. Wa qaa- lallaahu ’innii ma-‘akum: la-’in ’aqam-tumus-Salaata wa 'aatay-tumuz-Zakaata wa ’aa- mahtum-bi-rusulii wa ‘azzar- tumuuhum wa 'aqraz-tumul- laaha Qar-zan Hasanal-la- 'ukaffiranna ‘ankum sayyi- ’aatikum wa la-’udkhi-lanna-kum Jannaatin-tajrii mjp-tah-tihal- 'anhaar; famah-kafara ba‘-da zaalika minkum faqad zalla sawaaa-’assabiil | |
5 | 17 | They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. Say: Who then can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is Able to do all things | Laqad kafaral-laziina qaa- luuu 'innal-laaha Huwal-Masii- hubnu-Maryam. Yakhluqu maa yashaaa’. Wallaahu ‘alaa kulli shay-’in-Qadiir. | |
5 | 72 | They surely disbelieve who say. Lo ! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo ! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden Paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers. | Laqad kafaral-laziina qaaluuu ’innal-laaha Huwal-Ma- sii-hubnu-Maryam. 16 | 106 | Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief-save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with Faith— but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: on them is wrath from Allah. 24 | 55 | Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good works that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others), and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe nothing as partner unto Me. 27 | 40 | One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: I will bring it thee before thy gaze retumeth unto thee. And when he saw it set in his presence, (Solomon) said: This is of the bounty of my Lord, that He may try me whether I give thanks or am ungrateful. Whosoever giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for (the good of) his own soul: and whosoever is ungrateful (is ungrateful only to his own soul’s hurt). For lo! my Lord is Absolute in independence, Bountiful. | Qaalallazii ‘iridahuu ‘il- mum-minal-Kitaabi 'ana ’aatiika bihii qabla ’any-yartadda ’ilayka tarfuk ! Falammaa ra’aahu mustaqirran ’indahuu qaala haazaa miri-fazli Rabbii liyabluwaniii 'a-’ashkuru 'am ’akfur ! Wa mari-sljakara fa- ’innamaayash-kuru li-nafsih; wa man-kafara fa-’inna Rabbii Ganiyyuri-Kariim !... | |
30 | 44 | Whoso disbelieveth must (then) bear the consequences of his disbelief, while those who do right make provision for themselves | Man-kafara fa-‘alayhi kuf ruh; wa man ‘amila saalihan- fali-anfusihim yamhaduun | |
31 | 12 | And verily We gave Luqman wisdom, saying: Give thanks unto Allah; and whosoever giveth thanks, he giveth thanks for (the good of) his soul. And whosoever refuseth-Lo! Allah is Absolute, Owner of Praise | Wa laqad 'aataynaa Luqrrfaanal-Hikmata ’anish-kur lillaah. Wa many-yashkur fa- ’innamaa yashkuru linafsih: wa mah-kafara fa-’innallaaha Ganiyyun lzamiid. | |
31 | 23 | And whosoever disbelieveth, let not his disbelief afflict thee (O Muhammad). UntoUsistheirretum and We shall tell them what they did. Lo! 59 | 16 | (And the hypocrites are) on the likeness of the devil when he telleth man to disbelieve, then, when he disbelieveth saith: Lo! I am quit of thee. Lo! And a party of the Children of Israel believed, while a party disbelieved. 2 | 105 | Neither those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture nor the idolaters love that there should be sent down unto you any good thing from your Lord. But Allah chooseth for His mercy whom He will, and Allah is of infinite bounty | Maa yawaddullaziina kafaruu min ’Ahlil-Kitaabi wa lal- Mushrikiina ’any-yunazzala ‘alaykum-min khayrim-mir- Rabbikum. They bring them out of light into darkness. Such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein | 'Allaahu Waliy-yullaziina 'aamanuu yukhrijuhum-minaz- zulumaati 'ilan-nuur. 3 | 4 | Aforetime, for a guidance to mankind; and hath revealed the Criterion (of right and wrong). Lo ! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, theirs will be a heavy doom. 3 | 10 | (On that Day) neither the riches nor the progeny of those who disbelieve will aught avail them with Allah. They will be fuel for fire | ’Innal-laziina kafaruu lan- tug-niya ‘anhum ’amwaaluhum wa laaa ’awlaaduhum-minal- laahi shay-’aa: wa ’ulaaa-’ika hum waquudun-Naar. | |
3 | 12 | Say (O Muhammad) unto those who disbelieve: Ye shall be overcome and gathered unto Hell, an evil resting-place. | Qul-lillaziina kafaruu sa- tuglabuunawatuhsharuuna’ilaa Jahannam; wa bi’-sal-mi-haad | |
3 | 54 | And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers. | Wa makaruu wa makarallaah: wallaahu Kharrul-maakiriin | |
3 | 55 | (And remember) when Allah said: 0 Jesus ! Lo ! I am gathering thee and causing thee to ascend unto Me, and am cleansing thee of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow thee above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then unto Me ye will (all) return, and I shall judge between you as to that wherein ye used to differ. | ’Iz qaalallaahu yaa-‘lisaaa ’innii muta-waffika wa raafi-'uka 'i-layya wa mu(ahhi-ruka minallaziina kafaruu wa jaa- ‘ilullazii-nattaba-’uuka faw-qal- laziina kafaruuu ’ilaa Yawmil- Qiyaamah. Summa 'ilayya marji- ‘ukumfa-’ahkumu baynakumfii- maa kuntum fiihi takh-talifuun. | |
3 | 86 | How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and (after) they bore witness that the messenger is true and after clear proofs (of Allah’s sovereignty) had come unto them? And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. | Kayfa yahdillaahu qawman kafaruu ba‘-da 'iimaani- him wa shahiduuu 'annar- Rasuula baqqunw-wa jaaa- 'ahumul-Bayyinaatz Wallaahu laa yahdil-qawmaz;-zaalimiin | |
3 | 90 | Lo ! those who disbelieve after their (profession of) belief, and afterward grow violent in disbelief: their repentance will not be accepted. And such are those who are astray | 'Innal-laziina kafaruu ba‘- da 'iimaanihim summaz-daa- duu kufral-lan tuqbala taw-batuhum; wa ’ulaaa-’ika humuz-zaaal-luuun. | |
3 | 91 | Lo ! those who disbelieve, and die in disbelief, the (whole) earth full of gold would not be accepted from such an one if it were offered as a ransom (for his soul). Theirs will be a painful doom and they will have no helpers | Innal-laziina dafaruu wa maatuu wa hum kuffaarun falany-yuqbala mil ul arzi zahabanw-wa la-wiftadaa bih. Ullaaa ika la-hum azaabun aliimunw-wa maa lahum min naasiriin | |
3 | 116 | Lo ! the riches and the progeny of those who disbelieve will not avail them aught against Allah; and such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein. | 'Innal-laziina kafaruu lan- tugniya 'anhum ’amwaa-luhum wa laaa ’awlaaduhum-minal-laahi shay-’aa: wa ’ulaaa-’ika 'As-haa- bun-Naari hum fiihaa khaaliduun | |
3 | 127 | That He may cut off a part of those who disbelieve, or overwhelm them so that they retire, frustrated. | Li-yaqta-‘a tara-fam- minallaziina kafaruuu ’aw yakbitahum fa- | |
3 | 149 | O ye who believe! If ye obey those who disbelieve, they will make you turn back on your heels, and ye turn back as losers | Yaaa-’ayyu-hallaziina ’aamanuuu ’ifi-tutii-‘ullaziina kafaruu yarudduukum ‘alaaa ’a‘- qaabikum fatah-qalibuu khaasiriin. | |
3 | 151 | We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve because they ascribe unto Allah partners, for which no warrant hath been revealed. Their habitation is the Fire, and hapless the abode of the wrong-doers. | Sanulqii fii quluu-billa- ziina kafarur-ru‘-ba bimaaa 'ashrakuu billaahi maa lam yunazzil bihii sultaanaa: wa ma’- waahumun-Naar: wa bi’-sa maswaz-zaalimiin | |
3 | 156 | O ye who believe! Be not as those who disbelieved and said of their brethren who went abroad in the land or were fighting in the field: If they had been (here) with us they would not have died or been killed; that Allah may make it anguish in their hearts. Allah giveth life and causeth death; and Allah is Seer of what ye do. | Yaaa-’ayyu-hallaziina 'aa-manuu laa takuunuu kallaziina kafaruu wa qaaluu li- ’ikhwaa-nihim 'izaa zarabuu fil- ’arzi 'aw kaanuu guzzal-law1 kaanuu ‘indanaa maa maatuu wa maa qutiluu; li-yaj-'alallaahu zaalika hasratan-fii quluubihim. Wallaahu yubyii wa yumiit, wallaahu bimaa ta'-maluuna Basiir. | |
3 | 196 | Let not the vicissitude (of the success) of those who disbelieve, in the land, deceive thee (O Muhammad). | Laa yagurrannaka taqal- lu-bullaziina kafaruu fil-bilaad | |
4 | 42 | On that clay those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger will wish that they were level with the ground, and they can hide no fact from Allah. | Yawma-’iziny-yawaddul- laziina kafaruu wa ‘asa-wur- Rasuula law tu-sawwaa bihi- mul-’arz. Wa laa yaktumuu- nallaaha hadiisaa | |
4 | 51 | Hast thou not seen those unto whom a portion of the Scripture hath been given, how they believe in idols and false deities, and how they say of those (idolaters) who disbelieve: These are more rightly guided than those who believe?” | 'Alam tara 'ilallaziina 'uu-tuu nasiibam-minal-Kitaabi yu’- minuuna bil-Jibti wat-Taaguuti wa yaquuluuna lil-laziina kafaruu haaa-’ulaaa-’i ‘ahdaa minallaziina 'aamanuu sabiilaaz | |
4 | 55 | And of them were (some) who believed therein and of them were (some) who disbelieved therein: Hell is sufficient for (their) burning | Faminhum-man aamana bihii wa minhum man sadda anh; wa kafaa bi jahannama sa iiraa | |
4 | 56 | LofThose who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment. Lo ! Allah is ever Mighty, Wise. | ’Innallaziina kafaruu bi- ’Aayaatinaa sawfa nusliihim Naaraa. Kullamaa nazijat ju- luuduhum baddalnaahum ju- luudan gayrahaa li-yazuuqul- ‘azaab: 'innallaaha kaana ‘Aziizan Hakiimaa | |
4 | 76 | Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the minions of the devil. Lo! the devils strategy is ever weak | ‘Allaziina ’aamanuu yuqaa- tiluuna fii Sabiilillaahi wallaziina kafaruu yuqaa-tiluuna fii Sabiilit-Taaguuti faqaa-tiluuu ’aw-liyaaa-’ash-Shaytaan: ’inna kaydash-Shaytaani kaana za-‘iifaa | |
4 | 84 | So fight (O Muhammad) in the way of Allah—Thou art, not taxed (with the responsibility for anyone) except for thyself—and urge on the believers. Peradventure, Allah will restrain the might of those who disbelieve. Allah is stronger in might and stronger in inflicting punishment | Faqaatil fii Sabiilillaah— laa tukallafu ’illaa nafsaka wa harrizil-Mu’-miniin. ‘Asal-laahu 'any-yakuffa ba’-sal-laziina kafaruu: wallaahu ’ashaddu ba’- sanw-wa ’ashaddu tankiilaa. | |
4 | 89 | They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them). So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity), then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them | Wadduu law tak-furuuna kamaa kafaruu fata-kuunuuna sawaaa-’ah falaa tattakhizuu minhum ’aw-liyaaa-’a hattaa yuhaajiruu fii Sabiilillaah; fa-’in- tawal-law fa-khuzuuhum waq- tuluuhum haygu wajattu- muuhum; wa laa tatta-khizuu minhum waliy-yanw-wa laa nasiiraa | |
4 | 101 | And when ye go forth in the land, it is no sin for you to curtail (your) worship if ye fear that those who disbelieve may attack you. In truth the disbelievers are an open enemy to you. | Wa ’izaa zarab-tum fil-’arzi fa-laysa ‘alaykum junaa-hun ’an- taq-suruu minas-§alaa-ti 'in khif- tum ’any-yaftina-ku-mul-laziina kafaruu: ’innal-kaafiriina kaanuu lakum ‘aduw-wam-mubiinaa Wa ’izaa zarab-tum fil-’arzi fa-laysa ‘alaykum junaa-hun ’an- taq-suruu minas-§alaa-ti 'in khif- tum ’any-yaftina-ku-mul-laziina kafaruu: ’innal-kaafiriina kaanuu lakum ‘aduw-wam-mubiinaa | |
4 | 102 | And when thou (O Muhammad) art among them and arrangest (their) worship for them let only a party of them stand with thee (to worship) and let them take their arms. Then when they have performed their prostrations let them fall to the rear of you and let another party come that hath not worshipped and let them worship with thee, and let them take their precaution and their arms.Those who disbelieve long for you to neglect your arms and your baggage that they may attack you once for all. It is no sin for you to lay aside your arms, if rain impedeth you or ye are sick. But take your precaution. Lo ! Allah prepareth for the disbelievers shameful punishment. | Wa ’izaa kunta fiihim fa- ’aqamta lahumus-Çalaata fal- taqumtaaa-’ifatum-minhum-ma- ‘aka wal-ya’-khuzuuu 'asli- hatahum: fa-'izaa sajaduu fal- yakuunuu rnihw-w araaa-’ikum. Wal-ta’ti taaa-’ifatun ’ukh-raa lam yu-salluu fal-yu-çalluu ma-‘aka wal-ya’-khuzuu hizra-hum wa ’asli-hatahum. Waddallaziina kafaruu lawtag-fuluuna ‘an ’asli- hatikum wa ’amti-‘ati-kum faya- miiluuna ‘alaykum-may-latafiw- waahidah. Wa laa junaaha ‘alaykum 'in-kaana bi-kum ’azam- mim-matarin ’aw kuntum- marjaaa ’an-taza-'uuu ’asli- hatakum: wa khuzuu hiz-rakum. 'Innallaaha 'a-‘adda lil-kaafiriina ‘azaabam-muhiinaa. | |
4 | 137 | Lo! those who believe, then disbelieve and then (again) believe, then disbelieve, and then increase in disbelief, Allah will never pardon them, nor will He guide them unto a way. | ’Innal-laziina 'aamanuu summa kafaruu summa ’aamanuu §umma kafaruu summaz- daaduu kufral-lam yakunillaahu li-yagfira lahum wa laa li-yahdi- yahum Sabiilaa | |
4 | 167 | lo! those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the way of Allah, they verily have wandered far astray. | ’Innal-laziina kafaruu wa sadduu ‘an-Sabii-lillaahi qad zalluu zalaalam-ba-‘iidaa | |
4 | 168 | Lo! those who disbelieve and deal in wrong, Allah will never forgive them, neither will He guide them unto a road | ’Innal-laziina kafaruu wa zalamuu lam yakunillaahu li- yagfira lahum wa laa li-yahdi- yahum tariiqaa | |
5 | 3 | Forbidden unto you (forfood) are carrion and blood and swine- flesh, and that which hath been dedicated unto any other than Allah, and the dead through beating, and the strangled, and the dead through falling from a height, and that which hath been killed by (the goring of) horns, and the devoured of wild beasts, saving that which ye make lawful (by the deathstroke), and that which hath been immolated unto idols. And (forbidden is it) that ye apportion by the divining arrows. This is an abomination. This day are those who disbelieve in despair of (ever harming) your religion; so fear them not, fear Me! This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you as religion AL-ISLAM. Whoso is forced by hunger, not by will, to sin: (for him) lo ! Allah is Forgiving | Hurri-mat ‘alaykumul- may-tatu waddamu wa lah- mul-khin-ziiri wa maaa ’uhilla li-gayrillaahi bihii wal-mun- kha-niqatu wal-maw-quuzatu wal-muta-raddi-yatu wannatii- hatu wa maaa ’akalas-sabu-‘u ’illaa maa zakkaytum; wa maa zubiha ‘alan-nusubi wa ’an- tastaq-simuu bil-’azlaam: zaa- likum fisq. ’Al-yawma ya-’isal- laziina kafaruu min-diinikum falaa takh-shaw-hum wakh- shawn. ’Al-yawma ’ak-maltu lakum Diina-kum wa ’at-mam- tu ‘alaykum ni‘-matii wa razii- tu lakumul-’ISLAAMA Diinaa. Famaniz-turra fii makh-masa- tin gayra mutajaa-nifil-li-’ismin- fa-innallaaha Gafuurur- Rahiim. | |
5 | 10 | And they who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are rightful owners of hell | Wallaziina kafaruu wa kazzabuu bi-’Aayaa-tinaaa 'ulaaa-’ika ’A§-haabul-Jahiim | |
5 | 36 | As for those who disbelieve, lo ! if all that is in the earth were theirs, and as much again therewith, to ransom them from the doom on the Day of Resurrection, it would not be accepted frqm them. Theirs will be a painful doom | ’Innal-laziina kafaruu law ’anna lahum-maa fil-’arzi ja-mii- ‘anw-wa mislahuu ma-‘ahuu li- yaf-taduu bihii min ‘azaabi Yawmil-Qiyaamati maa tuqubbila minhum. Wa lahum 'azaabun 'aliim. | |
5 | 73 | They surely disbelieve who say: Lo ! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying, a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. | ad kafa-rallaziina qaaluuu 'innallaaha Saa-lisu-§a- laa-sah. Wa maa min 'ilaahin 'illaaa ’llaahunw-Waahid. Wa 'illam yan-tahuu ‘ammaa yaquuluuna la-yamassan-nalla- ziina kafaruu minhum ‘azaa-bun 'aliim | |
5 | 78 | Those of the Children of Israel who went astray were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus, son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and used to transgress. | Lu-‘inallaziina kafaruu mim-Baniii-’Israaa-’iila ‘alaa lisaani Daa-wuuda wa ‘lisabni- Maryam: zaalika bimaa ‘açaw- wa kaanuu ya’-taduun | |
5 | 86 | But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are owners of hell-fire | Wallaziina kafaruu wa kaz-zabuu bi-’Aayaa-tinaaa ’ulaaa-’ika 'As-haabul-Jahiim | |
5 | 103 | Allah hath not appointed anything in the nature of a Bahirah or a Sai’bah or a Wasilah or Hami, but those who disbelieve invent a lie against Allah. Most of them have no sense | Maa ja-‘alal-laahu mim- bahii-ratinw-wa laa saaa-’iba- tinw-wa laa wasiilatinw-wa laa haaminw-wa laakinnal-laziina kafaruu yaftaruuna ‘alal-laahil- kazib; wa ’aksaruhum laa ya‘- qiluun. | |
5 | 110 | then Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary ! Remember My favour unto thee and unto thy mother; how I strengthened thee with the Holy Spirit, so that thou spakest unto mankind in the cradle as immaturity; and how I taught thee the Scripture and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and how thou didst shape of clay as it were the likeness of a bird by My permission, and didst blow upon it and it was a bird by. My permission, and thou didst heal him who was born blind and the leper by My permission; and how thou didst raise the dead by My permission; and how I restrained the Children of Israel from (harming) thee when thou earnest unto them with clear proofs, and those of them who disbelieved exclaimed:This is naught else than evident magic | ’Izqaa-lallaahuyaa-'lisab- na-Mar-yamazkur ni‘-matii ‘alayka wa ‘alaa waalidatik. ’Iz ’ay-yattuka bi-ruuhil-qudus. Tukalli-munnaasa fil-mahdi wa kahlaa. Wa ’iz ‘allam-tuka- l-Kitaaba wal-Hikmata wat- Tawraata wal-’lnjiil. Wa 'iz takh- luqu minat-tiini ka-hay-’atit-tayri bi-’iznii fatanfukhu fiihaa fatakuunu tayram-bi-’iznii wa tubri-’ul-’akmaha wal-’abrasa bi- ’iznii. Wa ’iz tukhrijul-maw-taa bi-’iznii. Wa ’iz kafaftu Baniii- ’Israaa-’iila ‘anka ’iz ji’-tahum- bil-bayyi-naati faqaa-lal-laziina kafaruu minhum ’in haazaaa ’illaa sihrum-mubiin. | |
6 | 1 | Praise be to Allah, Who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath appointed darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve ascribe rivals unto their Lord. | ’Al-Hamdu lillaa-hil-lazii khalaqas-Samaa-waati wal- ’arza wa ja-'alaz-zulumaati wan- Nuur. Summai-laziina kafaruu bi-Rabbihim ya‘-di-luun | |
6 | 7 | Had We sent down unto thee (Muhammad) (actual) writing upon parchment, so that they could feel it with their hands, those who disbelieve would have said: This is naught else than mere magic. | Wa law nazzalnaa ‘alayka Kitaaban-fii qir-taasin falama- suuhu bi-’aydiihim laqaa-lal- laziina kafaruuu ’in haazaaa ’illaa sihrum-mubiin | |
6 | 25 | Of them are some who listen unto thee, but We have placed upon their hearts veils lest they should understand, and in their ears a deafness. If they saw every token they would not believe therein; to the point that, when they come unto thee to argue with thee, the disbelievers say: This is naught else than fables of the men of old. | Wa minhum-many-yasta- mi-‘u ’ilayk; wa ja-‘alnaa ‘alaa quluu-bihim ’a-kinnatan ’any- yafqahuuhu wa fiii ’aazaanihim waqraa; wa 'iny-ya-raw kulla ’Aayatil-laa yu’-minuu bihaa: hattaaa 'izaa jaaa-’uuka yujaa- diluunaka yaquu-lul-laziina kafaruuu 'in haazaaa ’illaaa ’asaa-tiirul-’awwa-liin. | |
7 | 66 | The chieftains of his people, who were disbelieving said: Lo ! we surely see thee in foolishness, and lo ! we deem thee of the liars. | Qaalal-mala-’ullaziina kafaruu miri-qaw-mihiii ’innaa lana- raaka fii safaahatinw-wa ’innaa lana-zunnuka minal-kaazibiin | |
7 | 89 | But the chieftains of his people, who were disbelieving, said: If ye follow Shu'eyb, then truly ye shall be the losers | Waqaalal-mala-’ul-laziina kafaruu min-qaw-mihii la-’init- taba'-tum Shu-'ayban ’inna-kum ’izal-la-khaasiruun | |
8 | 12 | When thy Lord inspired the angels (saying:) I am with you. So make those who believe stand firm. I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger | uuhii Rabbuka ’ilal- malaaa-’ikati 'annii ma-‘akumfasabbi-tullaziina’aamanuu.Sa- rp, ’ulqii fii quluu-billaziina kafarur- ru’-bafazribuufaw-qal-’a’-naaqi wazribuu min-hum kulla banaan. | |
8 | 15 | O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them | Yaaa-’ayyu-hallaziina’aa-manuuu ’izaa laqiitu-mul-lazii-na kafaruu zahfan-falaa tu-wal- | |
8 | 30 | And when those who disbelieve plot against thee (O Muhammad) to wound thee fatally, or to kill thee or to drive thee forth; they plot, but Allah (also) plotteth; and Allah is the best of plotters. | Wa ’iz yamkuru bikallazii- na kafaruu li-yusbituuka 'awyaq- tuluuka 'aw yukhri-juuk. Wa yamku-ruunawayamku-rullaah: wallaahu Khayrul-maakiriin. | |
8 | 36 | Lo! those who disbelieve spend their wealth in order that they may debar (men) from the way of Allah. They will spend it, then it will become an anguish for them, then they will be conquered. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto hell: | ’Innal-laziina kafaruu yunfi-quuna ’amwaa-lahum li- yasudduu ‘an-Sabii-lillaah. Fasa-yunfi-quunahaa summa takuunu ‘alay-him hasratan summa yug-labuun. Wallaziina kafaruuu’ilaaJahannamayuh- sharuuna;- | |
8 | 38 | Tell those who disbelieve that if they cease (from persecution of believers) that which is past will be forgiven them; but if they return (thereto) then the example of the men of old hath already gone (before them, for a warning). | Qul-lillaziinakafaruuu’ihy- yan-tahuu yagfar lahum-maa qad salaf; wa ’ihy-ya-‘uu-duu faqad mazat Sunnatul-’aw-wa- liin | |
8 | 50 | If thou couldst see how the angels receive those who disbelieve, smiting theirfaces and their backs and (saying): Taste the punishment of burning | Wa law taraaa ’iz yata- waffal-laziina kafarul-malaaa- ’ikatu yazri-buuna wujuu-ha- hum wa ’adbaara-hum: wa zuu- quu ‘Azaabal-hariiq! | |
8 | 52 | Their way is) as the way of Pharaoh’s folk and those before them; they disbelieved the revelations of Allah, and Allah took them in their sins. Lo! Allah is Strong, severe in punishment | Kada’-bi ’Aali-Fir-’awna wallaziina min-qablihim: kafaruu bi-’Aayaa-tillaahi fa-’akha- za-humul-laahu bi-zunuu-bi- him. 'Innal-laaha Qa-wiyyun- Shadiidul-’iqaab | |
8 | 55 | Lo! the worst of beasts in Allah’s sight are the ungrateful who will not believe | ’Inna sharrad-dawaaabbi ‘indallaa-hillaziina kafaruu fa- hum laa yu'-mi-nuun | |
8 | 59 | And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah’s purpose). Lo! they cannot escape | Wa laa yahsa-bannal- laziina kafaruu sabaquu: ’innahum laa yu‘-jizuun. | |
8 | 65 | O Prophet! Exhort the believers to fight. If there be of you twenty steadfast they shall overcome two hundred, and if there be of you a hundred steadfast they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are a folk without intelligence | Yaaa-’ayyuhan-Nabiyyu harrizil-Mu’-miniina ‘alal-qi-taal. ’Iny-yakum-minkum ‘ish-ruuna saabi-ruunayag-libuu mi-’atayn; wa ’iny-yakum-minkum-mi- 'atuny-yag-libuu ’alfam-minalla- ziina kafaruu bi-’annahum qawmul-laa yaf-qa-huun | |
8 | 73 | And those who disbelieve are protectors one of another-lf ye do not so, there will be confusion in the land, and great corruption | Walla-ziina kafaruu ba‘- zuhum ’awli-yaaa-’u ba‘-z: ’illaa taf-‘aluuhutakun-fitnatun-fil- 'arzi wa fasaadun-kabiir | |
9 | 3 | And a proclamation from Allah and His messenger to all men on the day of the greater Pilgrimage that Allah is free from obligation to the idolaters, and (so is) His messenger. So, if ye repent, it will be better for you; but if ye are averse, then know that ye cannot escape Allah. Give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom to those who disbelieve | Wa 'azaanum-minal-laahi wa Rasuu-lihiii 'ilan-naasi yawmal-Hajjil-’Akbari 'annal- laaha bariii-’um-minal-mush- rikiina wa Rasuu-luh. Fa-’in- tubtum fa-huwa khayrul-la-kum: wa 'in-ta-wallay-tum fa‘-lamuuu 'anna-kum gayru mu'-jizillaah. Wa bashshi-ril-laziina kafaruu bi-‘azaaabin 'aliim | |
9 | 26 | Then Allah sent His peace of reassurance down upon His messenger and upon the believers, and sent down hosts ye could not see, and punished those who disbelieved. Such is the reward of disbelievers | tahuu ‘alaa Rasuulihii wa ‘alal-Mu’-miniina wa 'an-zala, junuudal-lam-tarawhaa: wa ‘azza-ballaziina kafaruu. Wa, zaalika jazaaa-’ul-kaafiriin | |
9 | 30 | And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they | a qaa-latil-Yahuudu ‘Uzayru-nib-nullaahi wa qaa- latin-Nasaaral-Masiihub-nul- laah. Zaalika qaw-luhum-bi- 'afwaa-hihim. Yuzaahi-’uuna qaw-lalla-ziina kafaruu min-qabl. Qaatala-humullaah; 'annaa yu’- fakuun! | |
9 | 37 | Postponement (of a sacred month) is only an excess of disbelief whereby those who disbelieve are misled, they allow it one year and forbid it (another) year, that they may make up the number of the months which Allah hath hallowed, so that they allow that which Allah hath forbidden. The evil of their deeds is made fair-seeming unto them. Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk | Tnna-mannasiii-'u ziyaa- datun-fil-kufri yu-zallu bihil- laziina kafaruu yuhilluu-nahuu ‘aamahw-wa yuharri-muuna- huu ‘aamal-li-yuwaati-’uu ‘id- data maa harra-mallaahu fa- yuhilluu maa harramallaah. Zuy- yina lahum suuu-’u ’a‘-maalihim. Wallaahu laa yahdil-qawmal- Kaafi-riin | |
9 | 40 | If ye help him not, still Allah helped him when those who disbelieve drove him forth, the second of two; when they two were in the cave, when he said unto his comrade: Grieve not. Lo! Allah is with us. Then Allah caused His peace of reassurance to descend upon him and supported him with hosts ye could not see, and made the word of those who disbelieved the nethermost, while Allah's word it was that became the uppermost. Allah is Mighty, Wise | ’Illaa tan-suruuhu faqad nasara-hullaahu ’iz ’akhraja- hullaziina kafaruu Saani-yas- nayni ’iz humaa fil-Gaari ’iz yaquulu li-Saahi-bihii “Laa tahzan 'innal-laaha ma-‘anaa”. Fa-’anzalal-laahu sakii-natahuu ‘alayhi wa 'ayya-dahuu bi-ju- nuudil-lam taraw-haa wa ja-‘ala kalimatalla-ziina kafarus-suflaa; wa Kalima-tullaahi hi-yal-‘Ulyaa: wal-laahu ‘Aziizun Hakiim | |
9 | 54 | And naught preventeth that their contributions should be accepted from them save that they have disbelieved in Allah and in His messenger, and they come not to worship save as idlers, and pay not (theircontribution) save reluctantly | Wa maa mana-’ahum 'an- tuqbala minuum nafaqaa-tu- hum 'illaaa 'annahum kafaruu bil-laahi wa bi-Rasuulihii wa laa ya’-tuunas-Salaata’illaa wa hum kusaalaa wa laa-yun-fiquuna 'illaa wa hum kaari-huun | |
9 | 74 | They swear by Allah that they said nothing (wrong), yet they did say the word of disbelief, and did disbelieve after their Surrender (to Allah). And they purposed that which they could not attain, and they sought revenge only because Allah and His messenger had enriched them of His bounty. If they repent, it will be better for them; and if they turn away, Allah will afflict them with a painful doom in the world and the Hereafter, and they have no protecting friend nor helper in the earth | Yahli-fuuna billaahi maa qaaluu, wa laqad qaaluu kali- matal-kufri wa kafaruu ba‘-da ’Islaa-mihimwahammuubi-maa lam yanaaluu: wa maa naqamuuu ’illaaa 'an ’agnaa- humul-laahu wa Rasuu-luhuu min-fazlih! Fa-’iny-yatuu-buu yaku khayral-lahum; wa ’iny- yata-wal-law yu-‘azzib-humul- laahu ‘azaaban 'aliiman-fid- dunyaa wal-’Aak_hirah; wa maa lahum fil-’arzi minw-wa-liyyinw- wa laa nasiir | |
9 | 80 | Ask forgiveness for them (O Muhammad), or ask not forgiveness for them; though thou ask forgiveness for them seventy times Allah will not for give them. That is because they disbelieved in Allah and His messenger, and Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk | 'Istagfir lahum ’aw laa tastag-fir lahum: 'in-tastag-fir lahum sab-‘iina marratan- falany-yag-fira- l-laahu lahum. Zaalika bi-’an- nahum kafaruu billaahi wa Rasuulih: wallaahu laa yah-dil- qawmal-faasiqiin. | |
9 | 84 | And never (O Muhammad) pray for one of them who dieth, nor stand by his grave. Lo! they disbelieved in Allah and His messenger, and they died while they were evil-doers | Wa laa tusalli ‘alaaa ’aha- dim-minhum-maata ’abadanw- wa laataqum ‘alaaqabrih. ’Innahum kafaruu billaahi wa Rasuu- lihii wa maatuu wa hum faasi- quun | |
9 | 90 | And those among the wandering Arabs who had an excuse came in order that permission might be granted them. And those who lied to Allah and His messenger sat at home. A painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve | Wa jaaa-’al-mu-‘az- ziruuna minal-’A’-raabi liyu ’zana lahum waqa-'adal-laziina kazabul-laaha wa Rasuu-lah. Sa-yusii-bulla-ziina kafaruu minhum ‘azaabun ’aliim | |
10 | 4 | Unto Him is the return of all of you; it is a promise of Allah in truth. Lo! He produceth creation, then reproduceth it, that He may reward those who believe and do good works with equity; while as for those who disbelieve, theirs will be a boiling drink and painful doom because they disbelieved | 'Ilay-hi marji-’ukum jamii- ‘aa. Wa‘-dallaahi haqqaa. 'In- nahuu yabda-’ul Khalqa summa yu-‘iiduhuu li-yajzi-yallaziina ’aamanuu wa ‘amilus-saalihaati bil- qist; wallaziina kafaruu lahum sharaabum-min hamii-minwwa ‘azaabun ’aliimum-bimaa kaanuu yak-furuun | |
11 | 7 | And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days—and His Throne was upon the water—that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. Yet if thou (O Muhammad) sayest: Lo! ye will be raised again after death ! those who disbelieve will surely say: This is not but evident magic | Wa Huwal-lazii khala-qas- samaawaati wal-’arza fii Sittati 'ayyaa - minwwa kaana ‘Ar- shuhuu ‘alal-Maaa-’i li-yablu- wakum ‘ayyu - kum ’ahsanu ’amalaa. Wa la-’in-qulta 'inna- kum-mab-‘uusuuna mim - ba‘-dil- mawti la-ya-quulan - nal-laziina kafaruuu ’in haa-zaaa 'illaa sihrum-mubiin | |
11 | 27 | The chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: We see thee but a mortal like us, and we see not that any follow thee save the most abject among us, without reflection. We behold in you no merit above us—nay, we deem you liars | Faqaalal-Mala-’ulla-ziina kafaruu min-qaw-mihii maa naraaka ’illaa basharam-misla- naa wa maa naraa-kattaba-‘a- ka ’illal-laziina hum ’araazilunaa baadi-yar-ra’y: wa maa naraa lakum ‘alay-naa mih-fazlim-bal nazun-nukum kaazi-biin! | |
11 | 60 | And a curse was made to follow them in the world and on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! ‘Aad disbelieved in their Lord. A far removal for ‘Aad, the folk of Hud | Wa ’utbi-‘uu fii haazihid- dunyaala‘-natanwwaYaw-mal-Qi- yaamah. ‘Alaaa ‘inna ‘Aadan- kafaruu Rabbahum! ‘Alaa bu‘-dal- li-‘Aadin-Qaw-mi-Huud | |
13 | 5 | And if thou wonderest, then wondrous is their saying: When we are dust, are we then forsooth (to be raised) in a new creation? Such are they who disbelieve in their Lord; such have carcans on their necks, such are rightful owners of the Fire, they will abide therein | Wa ’in-ta'-jab fa-’ajabuh- qawlu-hum ’a-’izaa kunnaa tu- raaban ’a-’innaa lafii khal-qin- jadiidz ’Ulaaa-’ikallaziina kafaruu bi-Rabbihim! Wa ’ulaaa- ’ikal-’aglaalu fiii 'a‘-naaqi-him: wa ’ulaaa-’ika ’As-haabun-Naari hum fiihaa khaa-liduun | |
13 | 7 | Those who disbelieve say: If only some portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Thou art a warner only, and for every folk is a guide | Wa yaquu-lullaziina kafaruu law laaa 'unzila ‘alayhi ’Aaya-tum-mir-Rabbihz ’Innamaaa 'anta mun-zirunwwa li-kulli qawmin haad | |
13 | 27 | Those who disbelieve say: If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Say: Lo! Allah sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth unto Himself all who turn (unto Him | Wa yaquu-lullaziina kafaruu law laaa 'unzila ‘alayhi 'Aa- yatum-mir-Rabbihz Qui ’innallaaha yu-zillu mahyya-shaaa-’u wa yah-diii ’ilayhi man ’anaab | |
13 | 31 | Had it been possible for a Lecture to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to be torn asunder, or the dead to speak, (this Qur’an would have done so). Nay, but Aliah’s is the whole command. Do not those who believe know that, had Allah willed, He could have guided all mankind? As for those who disbelieve, disaster ceaseth not to strike them because of what they do, or it dwelleth near their home until the threat of Allah come to pass. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst | Wa law ’anna Qur-’aanah suyyi-rat bihil-jibaalu ’aw qut-ti- ‘at bihil-’arzu 'aw kullima bihil- maw-taa, bal-lillaahil-’Amru jamii-‘aa! ’Afa-lam yay-’asil- laziina ’aamanuuu ’al-law yashaaa-’ullaahu laha- dannaasa jamii-‘aaz Wa laa yazaa-lullaziina kafaruu tusii- buhum-bimaa sana-‘uu Qaari- ‘atun ’aw tahullu qariibam-min daari-him hattaa ya’ti-ya wa‘- dullaah. 'Innal-laaha laa yukh- liful-mii-’aad | |
13 | 32 | And verily messengers (of Allah) were mocked before thee, but long I bore with those who disbelieved. At length I seized them, and how (awful) was My punishment | ’Afaman Huwa qaaa-’i- mun ‘alaa kulli nafsim-bimaa kasabatz Wa ja-‘aluu lillaahi shura-kaaa’. Qui sammuu-hum! ’Am tunabbi-’uunahuu bimaa laa ya‘-lamu fil-’arzi ’am-bizaa-hirim- minal-qawlz Bal zuyyi-na lilla- ziina kafaruu mak-ruhum wa sudduu ‘anis-Sabiil. Wa mahyyuzli-lillaahu famaa lahuu min haad | |
13 | 43 | They who disbelieve say: Thou art no messenger (of Allah). Say: Allah, and whosoever hath true knowledge of the Scripture, is sufficient witness between me and you | Wa yaquu-lullaziina kafaruu lasta mur-salaa. Qui kafaa billaahi shahii-dam- bay-nii wa bay-nakum wa man ‘ihdahuu ‘ilmul-Kitaab | |
14 | 13 | And those who disbelieved said unto their messengers: Verily we will drive you out from our land, unless ye return to our religion. Then their Lord inspired them, (saying): Verily We shall destroy the wrong-doers | Wa qaalal-laziina kafaruu li-rusulihim la-nukhri-janna- kum-min 'arzinaaa ’aw lata- ‘uudunna fii milla-tinaa. Fa- ’awhaaa ’ilay-him Rabbuhum lanuhli-kannaz-zaa-limiin | |
14 | 18 | A similitude of those who disbelieve in their Lord: Their works are as ashes which the wind bloweth hard upon a stormy day. They have no control of aught that they have earned. That is the extreme failure | Masalul-laziina kafaruu bi- Rabbihim ’a‘-maaluhum kara- maadi-nish-taddat bihir-riihu fii yaw-min ‘aasif: laa yaqdi-ruuna mimmaa kasabuu ‘alaa shay’: zaalika huwaz-zalaalul-ba'iid. | |
15 | 2 | It may be that those who disbelieve wish ardently that they were Muslims | RUBAMAA YA-WAD- DUL-LAZIINA kafaruu law kaanuu Musli-miin | |
16 | 39 | That he may explain unto them that wherein they differ, and that those who disbelieved may know that they were liars | Li-yubayyina lahumullazii yakhtalifuuna fiihi wa li-ya‘la- mallaziina kafaruuu ‘annahum kaanuu kaazibiin | |
16 | 84 | And (bethink you of) the day when We raise up of every nation a witness, then there is no leave for disbelievers, nor are they allowed to make amends | Wa yawma nab-‘asu min- kulli ’ummatin Shahiidan- summa laa yu’-zanu lillaziina kafaruu wa laa hum yusta‘- tabuun | |
16 | 88 | For those who disbelieve and debar (men) from the way of We add doom to doom because they wrought corruption | ’Allaziina kafaruu wa sad- duu ‘an Sabiilillaahi zidnaa-hum Allah, ‘Azaaban fawqal-’azaabi bimaa, kaanuu yufsiduun | |
17 | 98 | That is their reward because they disbelieved Our revelations and said: When we are bones and fragments shall we, forsooth, be raised up as a new creation | Zaalika jazaaa-’uhum-bi- 'annahum kafaruu bi-'Aayaati- naa wa qaaluuu 'a-’izaa kunnaa ‘izaamanwwa rufaatan 'a-’in-naa la-mab-‘uusuuna khalqan- jadiidaa | |
18 | 56 | We send not the messengers save as bearers of good news and warners. Those who disbelieve contend with falsehood in order to refute the Truth thereby. And they take Our revelations and that wherewith they are threatened as a jest. | Wa maa nursilul-mursa- liina ’illaa mubash-shiriina wa munziriin: wa yujaadilulla ziina kafaruu bil-baatili liyud-hizuu bihil-Haqqa wattakhazuuu 'Aayaatii wa maaa 'unziruu huzuwaa | |
19 | 105 | Those are they who disbelieve in the revelations of their Lord and in the meeting with Him. Therefore their works are vain, and on the Day of Resurrection We assign no weight to them | 'Ulaaa-’ikallaziina kafaruu bi-’Aayaati Rabbihim wa Liqaaa- ’ihii fa-habifat ’a‘-maa-luhum falaa nuqiimu lahum Yawmal- Qiyaamati waznaa | |

19 | 37 | The sects among them differ: but woe unto the disbelievers from the meeting of an awful Day | ’Asmi‘ bihim wa ’absir Yawma ya’-tuunan aa laakini*- zaalimuunal-yawma fii zalaa- lim-mubiin! | |
19 | 73 | And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army | Wa 'izaa tutlaa ‘alayhim 'Aayaatunaa bayyinaatin-qaa- lallaziina kafaruu lillaziina 'aamanuuu ’ayyul-fariiqayni khayrum-Maqaamanwwa ’ahsanu Nadiyyaa | |
21 | 30 | Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and We made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? | 'Awalam yarallaziina kafaruuu 'annas-samaa-waati wal-'arza kaanataa ratqan- fafataq-naahumaa? Wa ja'alnaa minal-maaa-’i kulla shay- 'in hayy. 'Afalaa yu’- minuun? | |
21 | 36 | And when those who disbelieve behold thee, they but choose thee out for mockery, (saying): Is this he who maketh mention of your gods? And they would deny all mention of the Beneficent | Wa 'izaa ra-‘aakallaziina kafaruuu 'inyyatta-khizuunaka 'illaa huzuwaa. 'Ahaazallazii yazkuru 'aalihatakum? Wa hum- bi-zikrir-Rahmaani hum kaafiruun! | |
21 | 39 | If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped! | Law ya'-lamullaziina kafaruu hiina laa yakuffuuna ‘anw- wujuuhihimun-Naara wa laa ‘an- zuhuurihim wa laa hum yunsaruun | |
21 | 97 | And the True Promise draweth nigh; then behold them, staring wide (in terror), the eyes of those who disbelieve! (They say): Alas for us! We (lived) in forgetfulness of this. Ah, but we were wrong-doers | Waqtarabal-Wa‘-dul-Haq- qu fa-’izaa hiya shaakhisatun ’absaarullaziina kafaruu: yaa- waylanaa qad-kunnaa fii gafla tim-min haazaa bal-kunnaa zaalimiin! | |
22 | 19 | These twain (the believers and the disbelievers) are two opponents who contend concerning their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads. | Haazaani khasmaanikh- tasamuu fii Rabbihim: falla-ziina kafaruu qutti-'at lahum siyaabum-min-Naar: yusabbu mih-fawqi ru-’uusihimul-ha- miim | |
22 | 25 | Lo! those who disbelieve and bar (men) from the way of Allah and from the Inviolable Place of Worship, which We have appointed for mankind together, the dwellers therein and the nomad; whosoever seeketh wrongful partiality therein, him We shall cause to taste a painful doom | ’Innallaaziina kafaruu wa yasudduuna ‘an-Sabiilillaahi wal-Masjidil-Haraamillazii ja- ‘alnaahu linnaasi sawaaa-’anil- ‘aakifu fiihi wal-baad. Wa manyyurid fiihi bi-’ilhaadim-bi- zulmin-nuziqhu min 'Azaa-bin ’aliim. | |
22 | 55 | And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt thereof until the Hour come upon them unawares, orthere come unto them the doom of a disastrous day | Wa laa yazaa-lullaziina kafaruu fii miryatim-minhu hattaa ta’-tiyahumus-Saa-‘atu bagtatan ’aw ya’-tiyahum ’azaa-bu Yawmin ‘Aqiim. | |
22 | 57 | While those who disbelieved and denied Our revelations, for them will be a shameful doom | Wallaziina kafaruu wa kazzabuu bi-’Aayaatinaa fa- 'ulaaa-’ika lahum ‘Azaabum- muhiin | |
22 | 72 | And when Our revelations are recited unto them, thou knowest the denial in the faces of those who disbelieve; they all but attack those who recite Our revelations unto them. Say: Shall I proclaim unto you worse than that? The Fire! Allah hath promised it for those who disbelieve. A hapless journey’s end! | Wa 'izaa tutlaa ‘alayhim ’Aayaatunaa Bayyinaatin-ta‘-rifu fii wujuu-hillaziina kafarul- munkar! Yakaaduuna yas- tuuna billaziina yatluuna ‘alayhim ’Aayaatinaa. Qui 'afa-’u- nabbi-’ukum-bi-sharrim-mih- zaalikum? 'An-Naar! Wa-‘a-da- hallaa-hullaziina kafaruu! Wabi’- sal-masiir. | |
23 | 24 | But the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: This is only a mortal like you who would make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels. We heard not of this in the case of our fathers of old | Faqaalal-mala-’ullaziina kafaruu min qawmihii maa haazaaa 'illaa basharum-mislu- kum yuriidu 'anyyata-fazzala ‘alaykum: wa law shaaa-’al- laahu la-’anzala malaaa-’ikah: maa sami'naa bihaazaa fiii 'aabaaa-’inal-'awwaliin | |
23 | 33 | And the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and whom We had made soft in the life of the world, said: This is only a mortal like you, who eateth of that whereof ye eat and drinketh of that ye drink | Wa qaalal-mala-’u min qawmihil-laziina kafaruu wa kazzabuu bi-Liqaaa-’il-’Aakhirati wa 'atrafnaahum fil-ha- yaatiddunyaa maa haazaaa ’illaa basharum-mislukum ya’- kulu mimmaa ta’-kuluuna minhu wa yashrabu mimmaa tash- rabuun. | |
24 | 39 | As for those who disbelieve, their deeds are as a mirage in a desert. The thirsty one supposeth it to be water till he cometh unto it and findeth it naught, and findeth, in the place thereof, Allah, Who payeth him his due; and Allah is swift at reckoning: | Wallaziina kafaruuu ’a‘- maalu-hum ka-saraabim-bi-qii- ‘atiny-yahsabuhuz-jam-’aanu maaa-’aa; hattaaa ’izaa jaaa- ’ahuu lam yajidhu shay-’anwwa wajadallaaha ‘indahuu fawaf- faahu hisaabah: wallaahu Sarii’ul-hisaab | |
24 | 57 | Thihk not that the disbelievers can escape in the land. Fire will be their home-a hapless journey’s end ! | Laa tahsabannallaziina kafaruu mu’-jiziina fil-’arz: wa ma’-waahumun-Naar: wa la bi’- sal-masiir! | |
25 | 4 | Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruuu ’in haazaaa ’illaaa ’ifku-nif- taraahu wa ’a-‘aanahuu ‘alayhi qawmun ’aakharuuna faqad jaaa-’uu zulmanwwa zuuraa. | |
25 | 32 | And those who disbelieve say: Why is the Qur’an not revealed unto him all at once? (It is revealed) thus that We may strengthen thy heart therewith; and We have arranged it in right order. | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruu law laa nuzzila ‘alayhil-Qur- ’aanu jumlatanw-Waabidah? Kazaalika linusabbita bihii fu- 'aadaka wa rattalnaahu tartii- laa | |
27 | 67 | Yetthosewho disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)? | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruuu ’a-’izaa kunnaa turaabanwwa 'aabaaa-’unaaa 'a-’innaa la- mukhrajuun? | |
29 | 12 | Those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Follow our way (of religion) and we verily will bear your sins (for you). They cannot bear aught of their sins. Lo! they verily are liars. | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruu lillaziina ’aamanuttabi-‘uu sa- biilanaa wal-nahmil khataa- yaakum. Wa maa hum-bi- haamiliina min khataa-yaa-hum- min-shay’; ’innahum la-kaazibuun | |
29 | 23 | Those who disbelieve in the revelations of Allah and in (their) meeting with Him, such have no hope of My mercy. For such there a painful doom | Wallaziina kafaruu bi- 'Aayaatillaahi wa Liqaaa-’ihiii ’ulaaa-’ika ya-’isuu mir lahum ‘Azaabun ’aliim | |
29 | 52 | Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Allah sufficeth for witness between me and you. He knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who believe in vanity and disbelieve in Allah, they it is who are the losers.. | Qui kafaa billaahi baynii wa baynakum Shahiidaa: ya‘- lamu maa fissamaawaati wal- ’arz. Wallaziina 'aamanuu bil- baatili wa kafaruu billaahi 'ulaaa- ’ika humul-khaasiruun. | |
30 | 16 | But as for those who disbelieved and denied Our revelations, and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, such will be brought to doom | Wa ’ammallaziina kafaruu wa kazzabuu bi-’Aayaatinaa wa liqaaa-’il-’Aakhirati fa-’u-laaa- ’ika fil-‘azaabi muhzaruun. | |
30 | 58 | Verily, We have coined for mankind in this Qur’an all kinds of simil'tudes; and indeed if thou comest unto them with a miracle, those who disbelieve would verily exclaim: Ye are but trickesters | Wa laqad zarabnaa linnaasi fii haazal-QUR-'AANI miri kulli masal: wa la-’iri-ji’- tahum-bi- ’Aayatil-laya-quulan-nallaziina kafaruuu 'in ’aritum’illaa mubtiluun | |
32 | 29 | Say (unto them): On the day of the victory the faith of those who disbelieve (and who then will believe) will not avail them, neither will they be reprieved. | Qui Yawmal-Fat-hi laa yanfa-'ullaziina kafaruuu 'ii- maanuhum wa laa hum yunzaruun | |
33 | 25 | And Allah repulsed the disbelievers in their wrath; they gained no good. Allah averted their attack from the believers. Allah is Strong, Mighty. | Wa raddallaahullaziina kafaruu bi-gayzihim lam yanaaluu khayraa; wa kafallaahul-Mu’- miniinal-qitaal. Wa kaanallaahu Qawiyyan ‘Aziizaa. | |
34 | 3 | Those who disbelieve say: The Hour will nevercome unto us. Say: Nay, by my Lord, but it is coming unto you surely. (He is) the Knower of the Unseen. Not an atom’s weight, or less than that or greater, escapeth Him in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in record | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruu laa ta’-tiinas-Saa-‘ah: qui balaa wa Rabbii lata’-tiyannakum ‘Aalimil-gayb. Laa ya‘-zubu ‘anhu misqaalu zarratin- f issamaawaati wa laa fil-’arzi wa laaa ’asgaru min zaalika wa laaa ’akbaru 'illaa fii kitaabim mubin | |
34 | 7 | Those who disbelieve say: Shall we show you a man who will tell you (that) when ye have become dispersed in dust with most complete dispersal, still, even then, ye will be created anew | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruu hal nadullukum 'alaa rajuliny- yunabbi-’ukum’izaamuzziqtum kulla mumazzaqin 'innakum lafii khalqin-jadiid | |
34 | 17 | This We awarded them because of their ingratitude. Punish We ever any save the ingrates | Zaalika jazaynaahum- bimaa kafaruu: wa hal nujaaziii ‘illal-kafuur | |
34 | 31 | And those who disbelieve say: We believe not in this Qur’an nor in that which was before it; but oh, if thou couldst see, when the wrong-doers are brought up before their Lord, how they cast the blame one to another; how those who were despised (in the earth) say unto those who were proud: But for you, we should have been believers | Wa qaalal-laziina kafaruu lan-nu’-mina bihaazal-Qur-’aani wa laa billazii bayna yadayh. Wa lawtaraaa 'izig-zaalimuuna mawquufuuna ‘inda Rabbihim yarji-‘u ba‘-zuhum 'ilaa ba‘-gi- nil-qawl. Yaquulul-lazii-nas-tuz- ‘ifuu lillaziinas-takbaruu law laaa 'aritum lakunnaa Mu’-miniin | |
34 | 33 | And We sent not unto any township a warner, but its pampered ones declared: Lo ! We are disbelievers in that with which ye have been sent. | Wa qaalal-laziinas-tuz- ‘ifuu lillaziinas-takbaruu bal- makrul-layli-wan-nahaaari ’izta’- muruunanaaa 'an-nakfura billaahi wa naj-'ala lahuuu 'andaadaa! Wa 'asarrun-nadaa- mata lammaa ra-’awul-‘Azaab. Wa ja-‘alnal-’aglaala fiii ’a‘- naaqii-laziina kafaruu: hal yujzawna ’illaa maa kaanuu ya’- maluun | |
34 | 53 | When they disbelieved in it of yore. They aim at the unseen from afar off. | Wa qad kafaruu bihii min qablu wa yaqzifuuna bil-gaybi mim-makaanim-ba-‘iid | |
35 | 7 | Those who disbelieve, theirs will be an awful doom; and those who believe and do good works, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward. | ’Allaziina kafaruu lahum ‘Azaabun-shadiid! Wallaziina ’aamanuu wa ‘amilus-saalihaati lahum-magfiratuhw-wa ’Ajrun kabiir | |
35 | 26 | Then seized I those who disbelieved, and how intense was My abhorrence! | Summa 'akhaztullaziina kafaruu fakayfa kaana nakiir. | |
35 | 36 | But as for those who isbelieve, for them is fire of hell; taketh not complete effect upon îem so that they can die, nor is its )rment lightened for them. Thus /e punish every ingrate. | Wallaziina kafaruu lahum Naaru Jahannam; laa yuqjaa ‘alayhim fayamuutuu wa laa yukhaffafu ‘anhum-min ‘Azaa- bihaa. Kazaalika najzii kulla kafuur | |
36 | 47 | And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. | Wa 'izaa qiila lahum 'anfiquu mim-maa razaqakumul- laahu qaalallaziina kafaruu lillaziina ’aamanuuu 'anut-’imu mallaw yashaaa-’ullaahu ’at- ‘amahz-’ln 'antum 'illaa fii zalaalim-mubiin | |
37 | 170 | Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know | Fakafaruu bihii fasawfa ya’-lamuun ! | |
38 | 2 | Nay, but those who disbelieve are in false pride and schism. | Balillaziina kafaruu fii ‘izzatinwwa shiqaaq | |
28 | 27 | And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve in the Fire! | Wa maa khalaqnas- samaaa-’a wal-’arza wa maa baynahumaa baatilaa ! Zaalika zannullaziina kafaruu ! Fa-waylul- lillaziina kafaruu minan-Naar | |
39 | 63 | His are the keys of the heavens and the earth, and they who disbelieve the revelations of Allah- such are they who are the losers | Lahuu maqaaliidus-samaa- waati wal-’arz; wallaziina kafaruu bi-’Aayaatillaahi ’ulaaa-’ika humul-khaasiruun. | |
39 | 71 | And those who disbelieve are driven unto hell in troops till, when they reach it and the gates thereof are opened, and the warders thereof say unto them: Came there not unto you messengers of your own, reciting unto you the revelations of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this your Day? They say: Yea, verily. But the word of doom for disbelievers is fulfilled. | Wa siiqallaziina kafaruuu ’ilaa Jahannama zumaraa: Hattaaa’izaa jaaa-’uuhaafutihat 'abwaabuhaa wa qaala lahum khazanatuhaaa ’alam ya’-ti-kum rusulum-mihkum yatluuna ‘alaykum ’Aayaati Rabbikum wa yunziruunakum Liqaaa-’a Yawmikum haazaa? Qaaluu balaa wa laakin haqqat Kalimatul-'Azaabi'alal-kaafiriin! | |
40 | 4 | None argue concerning the revelations of Allah save those who disbelieve, so let not their turn of fortune in the land deceive thee (O Muhammad). | Maa yujaadilu fiii’Aayaatil- laahi ’illallaziina kafaruu falaa yagrurka taqallubuhum fil-bi- laad | |
40 | 6 | Thus was the word of thy Lord concerning those who disbelieve fulfilled: that they are owners of the Fire | Wa kazaalika haqqat Kalimatu Rabbika ‘alallaziina kafaruuu ’annahum ’As-haabun- Naar | |
40 | 10 | Lo! (on that day) those who lisbelieve are informed by proc- lamation: Verily Allah’s abhorrence is more terrible than your abhorrence one of another, when ye were called unto the faith but did refuse. | ’Innallaziina kafaruu yunaadawna lamaqtullaahi ’akbaru mim-maqtikum ’anfusakum ’iz tud-’awna 'ilal- 'iimaani fatakfuruun. | |
40 | 22 | That was because their messengers kept bringing them clear proofs (of Allah’s Sovereignty) butthey disbelieved; so Allah seized them. Lo! He is Strong, Severe in punishment. | Zaalika bi-’annahum kaanat-ta’-tiihim rusuluhum-bil- bayyinaatifakafaruufa-’akhaza- humullaah: ’innahuu Qawiyyuri- Shadiidul-’iqaab | |
40 | 26 | Those who disbelieve say: Heed not this Qur’an, and drown the hearing of it; haply ye may conquer | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruu laa tasma-’uu lihaazal-Qur- 'aani walgaw fiihi la-‘allakum taglibuun! | |
40 | 27 | But verily We shall cause those who disbelieve to taste an awful doom, and verily We shall requite them the worst of what they used to do | Falanuziiqannallaziina kafaruu ‘azaaban shadiidanw- wa lanajzi-yannahum 'aswa- ’allazii kaanuu ya’-maluun. | |
40 | 29 | And those who disbelieve will say: Our Lord! Show us those who beguiled us of the jinn and humankind. We will place them underneath our feet that they may be among the nethermost. | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruu Rabbanaaa ’arinallaziina 'azallaanaa minal-jinni wal-’insi naj-’alhumaa lahta ’aqdaa- minaa liyakuunaa minal-’asfaliin | |
41 | 41 | Lo! those who disbelieve in the Reminderwhen it cometh unto them (are guilty), for lo! it is an unassailable Scripture | ’Innallaziina kafaruu biz- Zikri lammaa jaaa-’ahum. Wa ’innahuu la-Kitaabun ‘Aziiz | |
41 | 50 | And verily, if We cause him to taste mercy from Us after some hurt that hath touched him, he will say: This is my own; and I deem not that the Hour will ever rise, and if I am brought back to my Lord, I surely shall be better off with Him- But We verily shall tell those who disbelieve (all) that they did, and We verily shall make them taste hard punishment | Wa la-’in ’.azaqnaahu Rah- matam-minnaa mim-ba‘-di zarraaa-’a massat-hu layaquu- lanna haazaa lii wa maaa 'azunnus-Saa-’ata qaaa- ’imatanw-wa la-’ir-ruji‘-tu ’ilaa Rabbiii ’inna lii ‘indahuu lalhusnaa! Falanunabbi-’annal- laziina kafaruu bimaa ‘amiluu, wa lanuziiqan-nahum-min ‘Azaabin galii | |
45 | 11 | ..those who disbelieve…. | Haazaa Hudaa: wallaziina kafaruu bi-’Aayaati-Rabbihim lahum ‘Azaabum-mir-rijzin ’aliim | |
45 | 31 | And as for those who disbelieved (it will be said unto them): Were not Our revelations recited unto you? But ye were scornful and became a guilty folk | Wa’ammallaziina kafaruu: 'afalam takun 'Aayaatii tutlaa -alaykum fas-tak-bartum wa kuntum qawmam-mujrimiin | |
46 | 7 | And when Our dear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say of the Truth when it reacheth them: This is mere magic. | Wa ’izaa tutlaa ‘alay-him ’Aayaatunaa Bayyinaatin qaa- lallaziina kafaruu lil-Haqqi lammaa jaaa-’ahum haazaa sihrum-mubiin | |
46 | 11 | nd those who disbelieve say of those who believe: If it had been (any) good, they would not have been before us in attaining it. And since they will not be guided by it, they say: This is an ancient lie; | Wa qaalallaziina kafaruu lillaziina ’aamanuu law kaana khay-ram-maa sabaquunaaa 'ilayh! Wa 'iz lam yahtaduu bihii fasa-yaquuluuna haazaaa ’ifkun-qadiim! | |
46 | 20 | And on the Day when those who disbelieve are exposed to the Fire (it will be said): Ye squandered your good things in your life of the world and sought comfort therein. Now this Day ye are rewarded with the doom of ignominy because ye were disdainful in the land without a right, and because ye used to transgress | Wa Yawma yu‘- razullaziina kafaruu ‘alan-Naar. 'Azhabtum tayyibaatikum fii hayaa-tikumud-dunyaa wastam-ta‘-tum-bihaa: fal- Yawma tuj-zawna ‘azaabal- huuni bimaa kuntum tastakbiruuna fil-’arzi bi-gayril- haqqi wa bimaa kuntum tafsuquun | |
46 | 34 | And on the Day when those who disbelieve are exposed to the Fire (they will be asked): Is not this real? They will say: Yea, by our Lord. He will say: Then taste the doom for that ye disbelieved | Wa Yawma yu‘-razul- laziina kafaruu ‘alan-Naar ’a-laysa haazaa bil-Haqq? Qaaluu balaa’wa Rabbinaa! Qaala fazuuqul-’azaaba bimaa kuntum takfuruun! | |
47 | 3 | That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood and because those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus Allah coineth their similitudes for mankind | Zaalika bi-’annallaziina kafarut-taba-’ul-baatila" wa 'annallaziina ‘aamanut-taba-'ul- Haqqa mir-Rabbihim: kazaalika yazribul-laahu lirinaasi 'amsaalahum | |
47 | 4 | Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bounds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but (thus it is ordained) that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He rendereth not their actions vain | Fa-’izaa laqiitu-mullaziina kafaruu fazarbar-riqaab; hattaaa ’izaaa ’askhan-tumuuhum fashuddul-wasaaqa fa-’immaa mannam-ba‘-du wa ’immaa fidaaa-’an hattaa taza-’al-harbu ’awzaarahaa. Zaalika wa law yashaaa-’ullaahu lantasara minhum wa laakil-liyab-luwa ba‘- zukum-biba‘-z. Wallaziina qutiluu fii Sabiilillaahi falany- yuzilla ’a‘-maalahum. | |
47 | 8 | nd those who disbelieve, perdition is for them, and He will make their actions vain | Wallaziina kafaruu fata‘- sal-lahum wa ’azalla ’a‘- maalahum. | |
47 | 12 | Lo! Allah will cause those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow; while those who disbelieve take their comfort in this life and eat even as the cattle eat, and the Fire is their habitation | ’Innallaaha yud-khilul-lazi- ina ’aamanuu wa ‘amilus-saali- haati Jannaatin-tajrii min-tahtihal- ’arihaar; wallaziina kafaruu yata- matta-’uuna wa ya’-kuluuna ka- maa ta’-kulul-’an-‘aamu wan- Naaru maswal-lahum | |
47 | 32 | Lo! those who disbelieve and turn from the way of Allah and oppose the messenger after the guidance hath been manifested unto them, they hurt Allah not a jot, and He will make their actions fruitless | ’Innallaziina kafaruu wa sadduu ‘an-Sabiilillaahi wa shaaaqqur-Rasuula mim-ba‘-di maa tabayyana lahumul-Hudaa lany-yazurrullaaha shay-’aa: wa sayuh-bitu ’a‘-maala-hum | |
47 | 34 | Lo! those who disbelieve and turn from the way of Allah and then die disbelievers, Allah surely will not pardon them | ’Innallaziina kafaruu wa sadduu ‘an-Sabiilillaahi §umma maatuu wa hum kuffaarun- falany-yagfirallaahu lahum | |
48 | 22 | And if those who disbelieve join battle with you they will take to flight, and afterward they will find no protecting friend nor helper | Wa law qaatalakumullazi- ina kafaruu lawalla-wul-’adbaara summa laa yajiduuna waliyy- anw-wa laa naçiiraa | |
48 | 25 | ese it was who disbelieved and debarred you from the I nviola- ble Place of Worship, and debarred the offering from reaching its goal. And if it had not been for believing men and believing women, whom ye know not-lest ye should tread them underfoot and thus incur guilt for them unknowingly; that Allah might bring into His mercy whom he will—If (the believers and the disbelievers) had been clearly separated, We verily had punished those of them who disbelieved with painful punishment | Humullaziina kafaruu wa sadduukum ‘anil-Masjidil-Ha- raami wal-hadya ma‘-kuufan ’any-yabluga mahillah. Wa law laa rijaalum-Mu’-minuuna wa nisaaa-’um-Mu’-minaatul-lam ta‘-lamuuhum ’an-tata-’uuhum fatus iibakum-m inhum-ma- ‘arratum-bi-gayri ‘ilm, li- yudkhilallaahu fii Rahmatihii many-yashaaa’. Lawtazayyaluu la-'azzabnallaziina kafaruu minhum ‘azaaban ’aliimaa | |
48 | 26 | When those who disbelieve had set up in their hearts zealotry, the zealotry of the Age of Ignorance, then Allah sent down His peace of reassurance upon His messenger and upon the believers and imposed on them the word of selfrestraint, for they were worthy of it and meet for it. And Allah is Aware of all things. | ’Iz ja-‘alallaziina kafaruu fii quluubihimul-hamiyyata Hamiyyatal-Jaahi-liyyati fa- 'anzalallaahu Sakiinatahuu 'alaa Rasuulihii wa ‘alal-Mu’-miniina wa 'alzamahum kali-matat-taqwaa wa kaanuuu 'ahaqqa bihaa wa 'ahlahaa. Wa kaanallaahu bi-kulli shay-’in ‘Aliimaa | |
51 | 60 | And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised | Fa-way-lul-lillaziina kafaruu mihy-Yawmihimullazii yuu-’aduun! | |
52 | 42 | Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared | ’Am yuriiduuna kay-daa? Fallaziina kafaruu humul- makiiduun | |
57 | 15 | So this Day no ransom can be taken from you nor from those who disbelieved. Your home is the Fire; that is your patron, and a hapless journey’s end. | Fal-Yawma laa yu’-khazu minkum fidyatunw-wa laa mi- nallaziina kafaruu. Ma’-waa- kumun-Naar: hiya mawlaakum: wa bi’-sal-Masiir | |
57 | 19 | hose who believe in Allah and His messengers, they are the truthful; and the martyrs are with their Lord; they have their reward and their light; while as for those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are owners of hell-fire | Wallaziina 'aamanuu bil-laahi wa rusulihiii ’ulaaa-’ika humus-Siddiiquuna wash- Shuhadaka-’u ‘inda Rabbihim: lahum 'Ajruhum wa Nuuru-hum. Wallaziina kafaruu wa kazzabuu bi-’Aayaatinaaa ’ulaaa-’ika ’As- haabul-Jahiim | |
60 | 1 | O ye who believe ! Choose ot My enemy and your enemy for iends. Ye give them friendship, 'hen they disbelieve in that truth hich hath come unto you, driving ut the messenger and you ecause ye believe in Allah, your 3rd? If ye have come forth to rive in My way and seeking My 3od pleasure, (show them not friendship). Ye show friendship unto them in secret when I am best Aware of what ye hide and what ye proclaim? And whosoever doth it among you, he verily hath strayed from the right way | Yaaa-’ayyu-hallaziina ’aamanuu laatattakhizuu ‘aduwwii wa ‘aduwwakum 'awli-yaaa-’a tulquuna ’ilay-him-bil-mawaddati wa qad kafaruu bimaa jaaa-'akum- minal-Haqqi, yukhrijuunar-Rasuula wa 'iyyaakum 'an-tu’-minuu billaahi Rabbikum! 'In kuntum kharajtum jihaadan-fii Sabiilii wa btigaaa-'a Marzaatii tusirruuna 'ilay-him bil-mawaddati wa ’ana ’a‘-lamu bimaaa ’akh-faytum wa maaa ’a‘-lantum. Wa many-yaf- ‘alhu minkum faqad zalla Sawaaa-’as-Sabiil | |
60 | 5 | Our Lord! Make us not a prey for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord! Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty, the Wise | Rabbanaa laa taj-’alnaa fitnatal-lillaziina kafaruu wag-fir lanaa Rabbanaa! ’Innaka 'An- tal-‘Aziizul-Hakiim | |
63 | 3 | That • is because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed so that they understand not. | Zaalika bi-’annahum 'aamanuu summa kafaruu fa-tubi- ‘a ‘alaa quluubihim fahum laa yaf-qahuun. | |
63 | 5 | Hath not the story reached you of those who disbelieved of old and so did taste the ill-effects of their conduct, and theirs will be a painful doom ! | ’Alam ya’-tikum naba-’ul- laziina kafaruu -min-qablz Fazaaquu wabaala ’amrihim wa lahum ‘azaabun ’aliim | |
63 | 6 | That was because their messengers (from Allah) kept coming unto them with clear proofs (of Allah’s sovereignty), but they said: Shall mere mortals guide us? So they disbelieved and turned away, and Allah was Independent (of them). Allah is Absolute, OwnerofPraise | Zaalika bi-’annahuu kaanat- ta’-tiihim rusuluhum-bil-Bayyi- naati faqaaluuu ’a-basharuny- yahduunanaa? Fakafaruu wa tawallaw-was-tagnallaah: wallaahu Ganiyyun Hamiid | |
63 | 7 | Those who disbelieve assert that they will not be raised again. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Yea, verily, by my Lord! ye will be raised again and then ye will be informed of what ye did; and that is easy for Allah | Za-‘amallaziina kafaruuu ’allany-yub-‘a§uu. Qui balaa wa Rabbii latub-’asunna summa latunabba-’unna bimaa ‘amiltum. Wa zaalika ’alallaahi yasiir. | |
63 | 10 | But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are owners of the Fire; they will abide therein- a hapless journey’s end | allaziina kafaruu wa kazzabuu bi-’ Aayaatinaaa ’ulaaa- ’ika ’As-haabun-Naari khaalidiina fiihaa: wa bi’-sal-Masiir. | |
66 | 7 | Thenitwillbesaid):Oyewho disbelieve! Make no excuses for yourselves this Day. Ye are only being paid for what ye used to do | Yaaa-’ayyuhallaziina kafaruu laa ta‘-tazirul-Yawm! 'Innamaa tujzawna maa kuntum ta‘-maluun | |
66 | 10 | Allah citeth an example for lose who disbelieve: the wife of oah and the wife of Lot, who ere under two of Our righteous aves yet betrayed them so that ey (the husbands) availed them them naught against Allah and it was said (unto them): Enter the Fire along with those who enter | araballaahu masalal- lillaziina kafarumra-’ata Nuuhinw-wamra-’ata Luut. Kaanataa tahta ‘Abdayni min 'ibaadinaa saalihayni fa- khaanataahumaa falam yugniyaa ‘anhumaa minallaahi shay-’anw-wa qiilad-khulan- Naara ma-‘addaakhiliin | |
67 | 6 | And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there is the doom of hell, a hapless journey’s end | Wa lillaziina kafaruu bi- Rabbihim ‘Azaaba Jahannam: wa bi’-sal-masiir | |
67 | 27 | But when they see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve will be awry, and it will be said (unto them): This is that for which ye used to call | Falammaa ra-’awhu zul- fatan-siii-’at wujuuhullaziina kafaruu wa qiila haazallazii kuritum-bihii tadda-'uun | |
68 | 51 | And lo! those who disbelieve would fain disconcert thee with their eyes when they hear the Reminder, and they say: Lo! he is indeed mad; | Wa ’iny-yakaadullaziina kafaruu layuz-liquunaka bi- ’abçaarihim lammaa sami-‘uz- Zikra wa yaquuluuna 'innahuu la-majnuun | |
70 | 36 | What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed | What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed | |
74 | 31 | We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the fire, and their number have We made to be a stumblingblock for thosewho disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals | Wa maa ja-‘alnaaa 'Ashaabannaari ’illaa malaaa- 'ikah. Wa maa ja-‘alnaa ‘iddata- hum ’illaa fitnatal-lillaziina kafaruu li-yastay-qinallaziina ’uutul-Kitaaba wa yazdaadal- laziina ’aamanuuu 'iimaananw- wa laa yartaaballaziina 'uutul- Kitaaba wal-Mu’-minuuna wa li- yaquuiallaziina fii quluubi-him marazunw-wal-kaafiruuna maa- zaaa 'araadallaahu bihaazaa ma§alaa? Kazaalika yugill’ull- aahu many-yashaaa-’u wa yahdii many-yashaaa’. Wa maa ya‘-lamu junuuda Rabbika ’illaa Huu. Wa maa hiya 'illaa zikraa lil-bashar | |
84 | 22 | Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny | Balil-laziina kafaruu yukazzibuun | |
85 | 19 | Nay, but those who disbel'eve live in denial | Balil-laziina kafaruu fii takziib! | |
90 | 19 | Butthosewho disbelieve Our revelations, their place will be on the left hand. | Wallaziina kafaruu bi- z ’Aayaatinaa hum ’As-haabul-mash-’amah | |
