Is There a Political Dimension to Islamic Prayer?

Topic Christians Topic Kafir Topic Jews Topic Prayer

Prayer, one of the five pillars of Islam, is central to Islamic life. The first seven verses of the Koran are recited 17 times a day. The seventh verse speaks of the hatred and contempt Allah has for the Atheist, Christian and Jew, which therefore makes it political in nature.

Verse 1: “In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.”
Verse 2: “Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,”
Verse 3: “The Beneficent, the Merciful.”
Verse 4: “Master of the Day of Judgment,”
Verse 5: “Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.”
Verse 6: “Show us the straight path,”
Verse 7: “The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.”

This last verse distinguishes the two communities: Islamic and non-Islamic. One is greatly favored and the other is greatly despised by Allah.

This institutionalized and systemic cursing of the non-Muslim (the Kafir) is woven into the doctrine and expressed during prayer. The repetition of the prayer over one’s life continually reinforces the same view – the Islamic community is superior, while others are inferior.

The presence of political discourse in the Islamic prayer is merely the beginning; it does not end there. Kafirs are considered by Allah to be “the worst of all creatures” and the Islamic political doctrine commands Muslims to fight Kafirs and strive in every possible way until the whole world becomes fully Islamic.

Koran 98:6 - Allah declares all non-Muslims to be the worst of all created beings.
Koran 9:73 - Allah commands Mohammed to fight non-Muslims and to be harsh with them.

Mohammed made it his goal to ensure not a single Jew nor Christian was left in Arabia:

Hadith, Muslim 1767a | Mohammed: “I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim.”

Mohammed was particularly clear that Jews must be killed:

Hadith, Bukhari 2926 (also 2925, 2922, 2921a) | Mohammed: “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. “O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.”

Also, Islamic doctrine in 13 different verses forbids befriending Jews and Christians:

Koran 5:51 “O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.”

The whole text above just scratches the surface of Islamic political doctrine. You can learn more here.
