Islamic doctrine dictates how Muslims should behave sexually, both toward other Muslims and Kafirs (non-Muslims). The doctrine also describes how sexual behavior can be used as a tool for the domination and demoralization of the Kafir.
The vast majority of the doctrinal texts concerning women gives them a low status. Allah (Koran, Sura 4:34) states that men excel over and are superior to women so men must support them. 89% of Hadith and 71% Koran text about women is negative toward them. In Islam, the woman does not have control over her sexuality and her body.
The demands on female sexual behavior, which are considered sacred and codified in Sharia law, are considered political because they are valid for all women, regardless of their religious or cultural background. Therefore, this topic concerns all Kafir women, who can be captured, raped, and even forced to become sex-slaves as a reward for jihad. Mohammed himself had eleven wives and several sex-slaves [1]. One of his sex slaves was a Coptic woman, Mary, who was a Christian. Thus, sex with female slaves is in the same moral category as eating halal meat or riding a camel. Such actions are described as morally neutral, since they are allowed by the Trilogy of Islamic foundational texts[2].
If a Kafir woman decides to marry a man who practices Islam, according to Sharia law, she has to submit to any request or demand by her husband. If his request is not followed, the husband is permitted to beat his wife as a method of making her obedient.
In evaluating the following doctrinal facts, keep in mind that they are practiced in Kafir societies, even though they are in conflict with our laws, values and culture:
Equal Rights
- The vast majority of the doctrinal text concerning women is negative - 89% Hadith and 71% of Koran text about women gives them a low status.
Bodily Integrity
- According to Sharia law, it is obligatory for a woman to have sex with her husband whenever he demands it. In the Hadith, Allah curses women who resist sex with their husbands.
- Islamic doctrine allows beating wives as one method to make them obedient to men.
- Kafir women can be captured and raped and used as sex-slaves while Muslim women cannot.
- Sharia law allows Female Genital Mutilation.
Women’s Safety
- According to Islamic political doctrine, Kafir women can be captured and used as sex slaves. A woman who is not wearing a veil can be abused and molested. Having sex with a Kafir woman can be seen as a tool of war and a reward for jihad. These directives can be found in the doctrine. As such, it signifies a threat to all non-veiled Kafir women that they could be raped.
Islamic Ethics and Morals
- According to Allah, Mohammed is the perfect pattern of life for all peoples for all time. The Koran says 89 times that every human being is supposed to conduct their life using Mohammed’s example.
- Mohammed married his wife Aisha when she was six and consummated their marriage when she was nine years old.
- Mohammed had eleven wives and several sex-slaves. The Koran limits the number of wives to four for any other man.
- Mohammed’s favorite sex-slave was a Coptic woman, Mary, who had been born a Christian.
CSPII has compiled the following doctrinal references from the sacred texts of Islam:
- Koran[3]- the exact words of Allah as the Angel Gabriel dictated them to Mohammed.
- Sunna- Mohammed’s words and deeds are called the Sunna. They are found in two different texts— the Sira and the Hadith. The Sira[1] is Mohammed’s biography and the Hadith [4],[5] are Traditions (examples) from his life.
- Sharia Law [6] - Islamic Law; codification of the knowledge of the Koran and Sunna.
The process of the Islamization of countries through the implementation of Sharia law is gradual. For example, even in some Islamic countries, wearing the veil is not mandatory because full Sharia Law has not yet been implemented.
Mohammed had eleven wives
Sira [Ishaq, 918] The apostle consummated his marriage with eleven women, two of whom died before him, namely Khadija and Zaynab. He died leaving the nine we have mentioned.
The Koran limits the number of wives to four for male believers
Koran 4:2-3 Give unto orphans their wealth. Exchange not the good for the bad (in your management thereof) nor absorb their wealth into your own wealth. Lo! that would be a great sin. And if ye fear that ye will not deal fairly by the orphans, marry of the women, who seem good to you, two or three or four; and if ye fear that ye cannot do justice (to so many) then one (only) or (the captives) that your right hands possess. Thus it is more likely that ye will not do injustice.
A woman is only allowed to have one husband
Hadith [Bukhari 7,37, 5127] Narrated Urwa bin Az-Zubair: 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet told him that there were four types of marriage during Pre-Islamic period of Ignorance. One type was similar to that of the present day i.e. a man used to ask somebody else for the hand of a girl under his guardianship or for his daughter's hand, and give her Mahr and then marry her. The second type was that a man would say to his wife after she had become clean from her period. "Send for so-and-so and have sexual intercourse with him." Her husband would then keep away from her and would never sleep with her till she got pregnant from the other man with whom she was sleeping. When her pregnancy became evident, her husband would sleep with her if he wished. Her husband did so (i.e. let his wife sleep with some other man) so that he might have a child of noble breed. Such marriage was called as Al-Istibda'. Another type of marriage was that a group of less than ten men would assemble and enter upon a woman, and all of them would have sexual relations with her. If she became pregnant and delivered a child and some days had passed after delivery, she would sent for all of them and none of them would refuse to come, and when they all gathered before her, she would say to them, "You (all) know what you have done, and now I have given birth to a child. So, it is your child so-and-so!" naming whoever she liked, and her child would follow him and he could not refuse to take him. The fourth type of marriage was that many people would enter upon a lady and she would never refuse anyone who came to her. Those were the prostitutes who used to fix flags at their doors as a sign, and he who would wished, could have sexual intercourse with them. If anyone of them got pregnant and delivered a child, then all those men would be gathered for her and they would call the Qa'if (persons skilled in recognizing the likeness of a child to his father) to them and would let the child follow the man (whom they recognized as his father) and she would let him adhere to him and be called his son. The man would not refuse all that. But when Muhammad was sent with the Truth, he abolished all the types of marriages observed in pre-Islamic period of Ignorance except the type of marriage the people recognize today.
Koran 4:24 And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save* those (captives) whom your right hands possess. It is a decree of Allah for you. Lawful unto you are all beyond those mentioned, so that ye seek them with your wealth in honest wedlock, not debauchery. And those of whom ye seek content (by marrying them), give unto them their portions as a duty. And there is no sin for you in what ye do by mutual agreement after the duty (hath been done). Lo! Allah is ever Knower, Wise..
*here ”save” means “except for” in archaic English
There are conditions that entitle a wife to receive support from her husband
Sharia Law [Reliance of the Traveller m11.9] The husband is only obliged to support his wife when she gives herself to him or offers to, meaning she allows him full enjoyment of her person and does not refuse him sex at any time of the night or day. She is not entitled to support from her husband when:
(1) she is rebellious (nashiz, def: m10.12(N:)) (O: meaning when she does not obey him) even if for a moment;
(2) she travels without his permission, or with his permission but for one of her own needs.
(3) She assumes ihram [pilgrim status] for hajj [major pilgrimage] or `umra [minor pilgrimage] (def: j3);
(4) or when she performs a voluntary fast [note that fasting means abstaining from sex as well as from food and drink. That is why she needs a permission to fast] without her husband's permission (O: though if he allows her to fast and does not ask her to break it, he must provide her support).
One of the duties prescribed for a woman by Islamic doctrine is submission to the man, including to a husband’s or master’s demands for sexual intercourse
Koran 2:223 Your women are a tilth* for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will, and send (good deeds) before you for your souls, and fear Allah, and know that ye will (one day) meet Him. Give glad tidings to believers, (O Muhammad).
* a more modern translation for ”tilth” is “plowing field”
Hadith [Bukhari 7, 62, 81] Narrated 'Uqba: The Prophet said: "The stipulations most entitled to be abided by are those with which you are given the right to enjoy the (women's) private parts (i.e. the stipulations of the marriage contract)."
Hadith [Bukhari 3, 31, 129] Narrated 'Alqama: While I was walking with 'Abdullah he said, "We were in the company of the Prophet and he said, 'He who can afford to marry should marry, because it will help him refrain from looking at other women, and save his private parts from looking at other women, and save his private parts from committing illegal sexual relation; and he who cannot afford to marry is advised to fast, as fasting will diminish his sexual power."
Hadith [Muslim 008, 3367] Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger as saying: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, when a man calls his wife to his bed, and she does not respond, the One Who is in the heaven is displeased with her until he (her husband) is pleased with her.
A woman must have sex with her husband immediately when asked (unless it would harm her). If a wife refuses to have sex with her husband, Allah will curse her
Sharia Law [Reliance of the Traveller m5.1] It is obligatory for a woman to let her husband have sex with her immediatelywhen:(a) he asks her; (b) at home-meaning the place in which he is currently staying; (c) and she can physically endure it.
Hadith [Bukhari 7, 62, 121] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "If a man Invites his wife to sleep with him and she refuses to come to him, then the angels send their curses on her till morning.”
A wife is considered rebellious when she does not submit to sexual intercourse with her husband. Islamic political doctrine allows beating women (wife, daughter, or slave) as one method to make them obedient
Koran 4:34 Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.
Sharia Law [Reliance of the Traveller m10.12] When a husband notices signs of rebelliousness in his wife (nushuz, dis: p42) (O: whether in words, as when she answers him coldly when she used to do so politely, or he asks her to come to bed and she refuses, contrary to her usual habit; or whether in acts, as when he finds her averse to him when she was previously kind and cheerful), he warns her in words (O: without keeping from her or hitting her, for it may be that she has an excuse). The warning could be to tell her, ``Fear Allah concerning the rights you owe to me,'' or it could be to explain that rebelliousness nullifies his obligation to support her and give her a turn amongst other wives, or it could be to inform her, ``Your obeying me [def: (3)below] is religiously obligatory''). If she commits rebelliousness, he keeps from sleeping (O: and having sex) with her without words, and may hit her, but not in a way that injures her, meaning he may not (A: bruise her,) break bones, wound her, or cause blood to flow. (O: It is unlawful to strike another's face). He may hit her whether she is rebellious only once or whether more than once, though a weaker opinion holds that he may not hit her unless there is repeated rebelliousness.
Def. (3) It is obligatory for a wife to obey her husband as is customary in allowing him full lawful sexual enjoyment of her person. It is obligatory for the husband to enable her to remain chaste and free of want for sex if he is able. It is not obligatory for the wife to serve her husband (dis: w45.1); if she does so, it is voluntary charity.
Kafir women can be captured and used as sex-slaves
Koran 33:50 O Prophet! Lo! We have made lawful unto thee thy wives unto whom thou hast paid their dowries, and those whom thy right hand possesseth* of those whom Allah hath given thee as spoils of war, and the daughters of thine uncle on the father's side and the daughters of thine aunts on the father's side, and the daughters of thine uncle on the mother's side and the daughters of thine aunts on the mother's side who emigrated with thee, and a believing woman if she give herself unto the Prophet and the Prophet desire to ask her in marriage - a privilege for thee only, not for the (rest of) believers - We are Aware of that which We enjoined upon them concerning their wives and those whom their right hands possess* - that thou mayst be free from blame, for Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
“*those whom the right hand possess” refers to slaves
Koran 33:52 It is not allowed thee to take (other) women henceforth, nor that thou shouldst change them for other wives even though their beauty pleased thee, save* those whom thy right hand possesseth**. And Allah is ever Watcher over all things.
*here ”save” means “except for” in archaic English
“*those whom the right hand possesseth” refers to slaves
Koran 4:24 And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save* those (captives) whom your right hands possess. It is a decree of Allah for you. Lawful unto you are all beyond those mentioned, so that ye seek them with your wealth in honest wedlock, not debauchery. Koran 70:22-35 Save worshippers. Who are constant at their worship And in whose wealth there is a right acknowledged For the beggar and the destitute; And those who believe in the Day of Judgment, And those who are fearful of their Lord's doom Lo! the doom of their Lord is that before which none can feel secure And those who preserve their chastity Save* with their wives and those whom their right hands possess**, for thus they are not blameworthy; But whoso seeketh more than that, those are they who are transgressors; And those who keep their pledges and their covenant, (32) And those who stand by their testimony And those who are attentive at their worship. These will dwell in Gardens, honoured.

“*those whom the right hand possess” refers to slaves
War-captives become slaves; they can be raped or sold on the market
Hadith [Muslim 008,3371] Abu Sirma said to Abu Sa'id al Khadri: O Abu Sa'id, did you hear Allah's Messenger mentioning al-'azl? He said: Yes, and added: We went out with Allah's Messenger on the expedition to the Bi'l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing 'azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid-conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah's Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah's Messenger, and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born.
Koran 23:1-11 Successful indeed are the believers Who are humble in their prayers, And who shun vain conversation, And who are payers of the poor-due; And who guard their modesty* - Save** from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, And who pay heed to their prayers. These are the heirs Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide.
*”guard their modesty” is translated as “guard their private parts” in more modern translations; it means “restrain from sexual activity”
** here ”save” means “except for” in archaic English
Women should wear a veil for easy recognition and to prevent assault
Koran 33:59 O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
A prepubescent girl can be married and that marriage can be consummated
Koran 65:1-4 O Prophet, when you divorce women, divorce them when they have reached their period. Count the period, and fear God your Lord. Do not expel them from their houses, nor let them go forth, except when they commit a flagrant indecency. Those are God's bounds; whosoever trespasses the bounds of God has done wrong to himself. Thou knowest not, perchance after that God will bring something new to pass. Then, when they have reached their term, retain them honourably, or part from them honourably. And call in to witness two men of equity from among yourselves; and perform the witnessing to God Himself. By this then is admonished whosoever believes in God and the Last Day. And whosoever fears God, He will appoint for him a way out, and He will provide for him from whence he never reckoned. And whosoever puts his trust in God, He shall suffice him. God attains his purpose. God has appointed a measure for everything. As for your women who have despaired of further menstruating, if you are in doubt, their period shall be three months; and those who have not menstruated as yet. And those who are with child, their term is when they bring forth their burden. Whoso fears God, God will appoint for him, of His command, easiness.
Mohammed consummated his marriage with his wife Aisha when she was nine years old
Hadith [Bukhari 5, 58, 234] Narrated Aisha: The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Umm Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girlfriends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became all right, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and good luck." Then she entrusted me to them, and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.
Hadith [Muslim 008, 3311] Narrated ‘A’isha: 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Apostle married her when she was six years old, and he (the Holy Prophet) took her to his house when she was nine, and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old.
Hadith [Bukhari 7,62,64] Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).
The Hadith has more commands about sexual intercourse
Hadith [Muslim 008,3363] Jabir declared that the Jews used to say: When a man has intercourse with his wife through the vagina but being on her back the child will have squint, so the verse came down". " Your wives are your tilth*; go then unto your tilth as you may desire
* a more modern translation for ”tilth” is “plowing field”
Hadith [Muslim 008,3365] This hadith has been reported on the authority of Jabir through another chain of transmitters, but in the hadith transmitted on the authority of Zuhri there is an addition (of these words):" If he likes he may (have intercourse) being on the back or in front of her, but it should be through one opening (vagina)."
Hadith [Muslim 002, 0566] Alqama and Aswad reported: A person stayed in the house of A'isha and in the morning began to wash his garment. A'isha said: In case you saw it (i.e. drop of semen), it would have served the purpose (of purifying the garment) if you had simply washed that spot; and in case you did not see it, it would have been enough to sprinkle water around it, for when I saw that on the garment of the Messenger of Allah I simply scraped it off and he offered prayer, while putting that on.
Hadith [Bukhari 1, 5, 280] (the mother of the believers) Umm Sulaim, the wife of Abu Talha, came to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Verily Allah is not shy of (telling you) the truth. Is it necessary for a woman to take a bath after she has a wet dream (nocturnal sexual discharge)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "Yes, if she notices a discharge."
Circumcision is the usual custom for both men and women
Hadith [Muslim 002,0496] Abu Huraira reported: Five are the acts of fitna: circumcision, removing the pubes, clipping the moustache, cutting the nails, plucking the hair under the armpits.
Hadith [Muslim 003,0684] Abu Musa reported: There cropped up a difference of opinion between a group of Muhajirs (Emi- grants and a group of Ansar (Helpers) (and the point of dispute was) that the Ansar said: The bath (because of sexual intercourse) becomes obligatory only-when the semen spurts out or ejaculates. But the Muhajirs said: When a man has sexual intercourse (with the woman), a bath becomes obligatory (no matter whether or not there is seminal emission or ejaculation). Abu Musa said: Well, I satisfy you on this (issue). He (Abu Musa, the narrator) said: I got up (and went) to 'A'isha and sought her permission and it was granted, and I said to her: 0 Mother, or Mother of the Faithful, I want to ask you about a matter on which I feel shy. She said: Don't feel shy of asking me about a thing which you can ask your mother, who gave you birth, for I am too your mother. Upon this I said: What makes a bath obligatory for a person? She replied: You have come across one well informed! The Messenger of Allah said: When anyone sits amidst four parts (of the woman) and the circumcised parts touch each other a bath becomes obligatory.
Sharia Law [Reliance of the Traveller] e4.3 Circumcision is obligatory (O: for both men and women. For men it consists of removing the prepuce from the penis, and for women, removing the prepuce (Ar. bazr) of the clitoris (n: not the clitoris itself, as some mistakenly assert). (A: Hanbalis hold that circumcision of women is not obligatory but sunna, while Hanafis consider it a mere courtesy to the husband.)
